DISCOVER YOUR POSSIBILITES
What am I am going to eat? This might have been your first thought when you started on your discovery after being diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. I’ve put together a sample 21 day meal plan as a way of sharing with you some of the many delicious possibilities while you start on your new adventure. Here are a few tips to get you started:
Embrace Yourself
Since it takes 21 days to form a new habit, it will most likely take that long for your mind and body to stop opposing your new lifestyle change. Three weeks really isn’t a very long time. If you find yourself in a rut and coming up with excuses. You can regain control by reminding yourself that you only have to do it for 21 days. Motivate yourself to exercise. Choose something you honestly like to do and won’t loathe at least 3 times a week. Create an exercise plan that seems easy to accomplish. (And, stick to it!) Give yourself a chance and commit to yourself to stay with the program for 21 days.
Eat What You Need
Your body is unique. Be mindful of how you eat. Eat slowly, enjoy every mouthful, and think about what you’re eating. Drink plenty of water. Take your body weight and divide it by two. That is how many ounces a day you need to consume. Always strive for no less than 8 glasses of 8 ounces of filtered water per day. Try your best to get 7 hours of sleep each day, practice breathing technique and meditate. If you find yourself at a breaking point , to help get your mind off of your body change, try to simplify your home or office space (such as spending 15–20 minutes daily cleaning out and organizing drawers, closets, and cupboards) , read a new book, walk, talk to a friend. Keeping yourself busy can help you forget about those negative health- and life-destroying habits that you are trying to overcome. If you need more encouragement visit my Got Hypothyroidism? Realize you’re Not Alone
Beware of negative self-talk. Sometimes we can be our worst enemy. We convince ourselves that we are not good enough, not smart enough, no pretty enough, not tall enough, not thin enough, not wealthy enough, the list can keep going. Don’t give in to that voice. Mute all the mental negative voices that whisper lies to you. Every one of us is unique. We all need to push away all of societies labels, stigmas and stereotypes attached to women. God made you for a reason. You are beautiful. Your greatness is limitless, but to achieve this, 1st you must believe in yourself.
Make a habit of believing in things most people think are impossible. Learn to question everything. Experts will always try to convince you that what you want to do is impossible and simply won’t work. However, every successful endeavor starts with one stubborn person who refuses to operate by the same rules and type of thinking that everyone else does. Be that person.” – Mark MacDonald, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Appster
