Disease Just Doesn’t Happen:
Culprits, Causes, Exposure and Genetic Disposition
Disease DOESN’T just strike at a whim.
People being sick is big business.
Create a problem.
Sell the cure.
Another money making machine is born.
As consumers, we put our trust in the research and development of scientific studies, The FDA and The CDC. Drug store chains have quota’s to meet and even some of our Doctors get yearly bonus’s. Little do we do that behind closed doors corporations often pay scientists and these companies to support their product for profit. Some Politicians seem to have a revolving door between the private and public sector. The synthetic chemicals we face every day that is in our food, our water, and the air that we breathe. I’m sure this may be a hard pill to swallow that doctors, pharmaceuticals companies, research papers written by scientists and our very own FDA and CDC could be corrupt. Herbert Leonard Ley Jr. (September 7, 1923 – July 22, 2001) was an American physician, Harvard Professor and the 10th Commissioner and head of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stated,” What the FDA is doing and what we the public think they are doing is as different as night and day.” You can listen to a drug commercial and they mention a ton of side effects but still offer you the medication. This is being done right in front of our faces, openly and it seems we have accepted being treated like lab rats as the new normal.
Did you know that products we use every day may contain toxic chemicals and has been linked to women’s health issues?
There are hidden endocrine disruptors and very tricky chemicals that play havoc on our bodies. “We are all routinely exposed to endocrine disruptors, and this has the potential to significantly harm the health of our youth,” said Renee Sharp, EWG’s director of research. “It’s important to do what we can to avoid them, but at the same time we can’t shop our way out of the problem”. We need to have a real chemical policy reform.” The longer the length of ingredients on your food label means how much unhealthier it is for you to consume. When an item contains a host of ingredients that most likely you can’t even pronounce or remember to spell you can bet your lucky dollar that the natural nutrients are long gone. These highly processed frank n foods are very difficult for the body to break down and some of the chemicals will become stored in your body.
We have pesticides, herbicides, GMOs in our food, fluoride and chlorine and trace pharmaceutical residue in our water supplies, methane, carbon monoxide and industrial air pollutants and the toxic chemicals that is in our everyday household products.
No wonder our bodies are completely bombarded and overwhelmed with the constant exposed to toxic chemicals through the air that we breathe, the water we drink, the foods we eat, the personal care products and cleaning products we use.
Did you know that it takes 26 seconds for the chemicals to enter into your bloodstream? Most commercial personal care products are full of endocrine disrupting chemicals that wreak havoc on our hormones. On average women use 9 personal care and cosmetic products per day. This mixture can add up to a combination of 126 different hormone disrupting chemicals. Next add this to the toxins you’re exposed to each day when you got out into the world. Over 1000 of these ingredients have already been banned in Europe but not here in the United States where our FDA has only banned 11 of those ingredients in our personal care products.
What if I told you that most diseases have an underlying ROOT cause? That YOU aren’t some random number picked by nature to have an Autoimmune Disorder, Hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, Cancer, high blood pressure or Alzheimer’s. There is a link between the changing human–nature relationship and its impact on people’s health. Think of your genes & nature as a computer program.
What is programmed; is what is created and filtered out.
If you are feeding your body and bombarding it with trash? Trash in equals trash out!
Based on the World Health Organization’s definition. “Combining these concepts, the human–nature relationship and its impact on human’s health are then explored through a developing conceptual model”.
What is being said is our body is heavily influenced by the world around us.
(It is a combination of everything.)
Our environment we live in, the foods we consume, our daily movement, our mental health (stress) and what was passed down from us from both parents.
Have you ever said something or looked into the mirror and felt as if you were turning into your mother or your father? Perhaps you noticed a certain expression in the mirror, a side snap of a photo or maybe you heard yourself saying something you swore you’d never say to your kids.
Don’t worry although we do inherit both genetic weaknesses from both of our parents and you do inherit your mother’s gut and lymphatic systems health that is only one part of the equation.
Your medical future isn’t all predetermined by your genes. “You may be born with a genetic predisposition to certain disorders, but that doesn’t mean you will absolutely develop them,” Hahn says. “It’s like a loaded gun. The genetic predisposition is the gun, and lifestyle factors can pull the trigger. Some of these things we can control, and some we can’t per Susan Hahn, MS, a genetic counselor and the assistant director of communications, compliance, and ethics at the University of Miami School of Medicine’s Hussman Institute for Human Genomics.
Although you inherited certain genes from both parents and your mothers gut health was passed down to you it doesn’t mean that is how your life has to be. You might have started life out with a 50% chance of developing what was passed down but NOTHING IS WRITTEN IN STONE.
Please read that again: NOTHING IS WRITTEN IN STONE.
There is a sequence of small things in the generations passed down that happened, developed while you were in the womb, given during childbirth or over the course of your life.
(It is a combination of everything.)
Again, the environment we live in, the foods we consume, our daily movement, our mental health (stress) and what was passed down from us from both parents.
Perhaps you might not have ever thought to connect the dots to this approach about your health.
Would you believe me if I told you that you could possibly hold the key to the answer of your very own bad health?
Our health is a consequence of actions taken. It is a combination of sequences that has happened to your genetic make-up or just in your life to get you to this point. As our health goes, you would think that with all the technologies and advancements that we have today that it would be a cinch to diagnose and pretty straightforward to treat. Imagine the show the show Star trek: The Next Generation. The doctor has a scanner that tells her exactly what is wrong with you & how to heal you. Each of us are unique individuals with different sensitivities. None of us has the same exact routine as far as what foods we eat, what chemicals we are exposed to, what stress levels we have and what medications we take but yet we all are similar when it comes to the routine protocols that we are given when we come down with an illness, disorder or disease.
(It is a combination of everything.)
** Again let me reintegrate the importance of this information**
Every Cell in your body responds to the foods you eat, the products you put on your body to the house hold chemicals that you purchase for your home. All of these things have a direct impact on your hormones and in return your hormones have a direct impact on every major system in your body. Not to mention that our body is lacking certain nutrients that heavily influence the function of every cell in our body.
We are creating a toxic shit storm within our very own bodies. The real reality is we are damaging our DNA and we are changing our genetic makeup for future generations. These chemicals in our body products, our food, our beverages, the vaccines and the pharmaceuticals create a breeding ground for sickness.
There was a study a few years back that said the umbilical cord of an average American baby has over 200 known chemicals in it. We know almost nothing about eighty percent of the common chemicals that are used daily in this country. Our children are being born toxic and we have no idea if these toxins are already doing some sort of damage their brains, their immune system, their reproductive system, and any other developing organs.
Are we unknowingly setting the future generations up for failure in the womb, even before birth?
As I’ve said previously; We do inherit our mother’s gut and lymphatic health system.
More scientists and researchers need to be concerned that many of these chemicals may be carcinogenic or wreak havoc with our hormones and our body’s regulating system.
Most products have a warning label that is typed in bold “Keep Out of Reach of Children”. As consumers, we believe that if our children don’t ingest these products they will not be harmed by them. This can be far from the truth. The truth isn’t being completed communicated nor the damage of the future being foreseen. Just take a moment and think about other common methods of exposure are through the skin and our respiratory tract. All of us including our children are often in contact with the chemical residues housecleaning products do leave behind, by crawling, lying and sitting on the freshly cleaned floor.
Scientists at Norway’s University of Bergen tracked 6,000 people, with an average age of 34 at the time of enrollment in the study, who used the cleaning products over a period of two decades, according to the research published in the American Thoracic Society’s American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
(Let’s talk about gene mutation again)
Have you heard of gene mutation? It’s when the cells are changed by chemicals they are either damaged, lost or copied. These processed foods that are full of man-made chemicals, fluoridated municipal tap water, genetically modified foods, refined oils, herbicides like roundup, Artificial sweeteners, Vaccines and the yearly flu shot – often contain mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde and MSG, Pharmaceutical medications and a lot of the Pharmaceutical medications are loaded with fluoride, OTC (over-the-counter) medications for colds, allergies, headaches and fever – often contain heavy metal toxins, artificial sweeteners and toxic industrial-based food dyes. Let’s not forget to mention the over use of antibiotics, antacids, aspirin, and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) which completely change the environment in our gut.
It’s not enough to be aware of all the outdoor chemicals that we are exposed to everyday but inside our homes we have the power and the control. We have to be more aware about using chemical cleaners, paints, glues, body lotions, toothpastes, underarm deodorants, hair products and pesticides. Instead start to begin to use products that don’t pollute our very own bodies.
We must do our own research, make our own products or be a smarter shopper and start reading labels. I can’t stress this enough. We have to get back to the basics. We must take a stand for our health.
The commercial products that are laced with hidden, unknown and harmful body damaging ingredients.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) considers 60 percent of herbicides, 90 percent of fungicides, and 30 percent of insecticides to be carcinogenic, and most are damaging to your nervous system as well. In fact, these powerful and dangerous chemicals have been linked to numerous health problems such as:
Neurotoxicity and Parkinson’s disease
Disruption of your endocrine system
Carcinogenicity
Immune system suppression
Miscarriages, male infertility and reduced reproductive function
This information should make you rethink when you are considering whether to buy local, organic vegetables or not.
Our bodies have no way of adapting to these GMO and food like substances that we’ve been consuming. Every cell in your body is wrapped in a membrane of half fat and half protein. If you are constantly feeding these cells unnatural fatty acids, that membrane cannot function like it is designed to do and disease starts at the cellular level.
What if you were born with a disorder, disease or condition?
You see, disease just doesn’t happen. The average human is born healthy, but when a child has a condition that is present from birth, it is called a congenital disorder. Congenital disorders can be inherited from the genes, exposure to chemicals while in the womb (smoking, environmental toxins, medications, alcohol, etc.) and a problem with the genes that has been passed down, or a combination of these things. These factors and their impact on a child’s health and development can vary from mild to severe. A person can be born with a gene mutation passed down from their parents or from generations passed that the genes may be lurking, waiting to awaken in the right environment. Genes can be either dominant or recessive. Researchers have identified more than 4,000 diseases that are caused by mutations. But having a genetic mutation that may cause a disease or condition doesn’t always mean that a person will actually develop that disease or condition. They can be carriers of this disease or condition and pass it down to the next generation. This is very unfortunate but it does happen.
I was born with a club foot, birthmarks, freckles, blonde hair, blue/green eyes and my hair didn’t start growing until after I was two years of age. This was what the genetic gene pool from my parent’s that swirled like a cup of soup and decided to design me. My mother smoked, had high blood pressure, was in contact with chemicals and on certain prescribed medications for emotional issues. My father well, I never knew him just of him but that’s a different story in another book yet to be written. I do know she met him while living in Fayetteville, NC as she was still married to my older half-brother’s father although they were separated. This certainly sounds like a Maury Povick episode but no one has time to be embarrassed on national TV by my parent’s promiscuous ways. Only personally to all that is reading these words.
Think of your genes as a blueprint for your body.
If there’s a change to these instructions, it can sometimes increase your odds for developing diseases.
Therefore, we must be more aware of the foods we eat and the drinks we drink, the medications we take, the chemicals we allow ourselves to interact with which also includes our body, our home (house cleaners, weed killer, etc.) and environmental agents plus our overall mental wellbeing.
It is a combination of everything.
