7 Most Common Nutrient Deficiencies in Hashimoto’s

The 7 Most Common Nutrient Deficiencies in Hashimoto’s

From research and experience, I’ve concluded that the most common nutrient deficiencies in Hashimoto’s are (in no particular order):

  1. Selenium
  2. Vitamin D
  3. Vitamin B12
  4. Iron/Ferritin (the iron storage protein)
  5. Thiamine
  6. Zinc
  7. Magnesium

Precautions: When taken in the recommended dosage, magnesium is generally considered safe. However, do not take magnesium if you are taking levodopa/carbidopa, as it can reduce the effectiveness of this drug. There may be moderate interactions with some other medications, so check with your doctor if you have any concerns.

Are you ready to transform your life?

There is nothing like walking in your  house on a brisk, fall day surrounded by a warm and spicy scents.

On my quest to heal my hypothyroidism, I found out how toxic and unhealthy  store bought candles are and these  paraffin and lead-cored wicks aren’t something that I want to be breathing in.

  • Paraffin: Many candles (especially the cheaper kind) are made from paraffin wax; a petroleum by-product, which has the potential to contain toxins and potential carcinogens which are released into the air when the candle is burned. Some researchers even claim the smoke from some candles contains almost as much icky stuff as cigarette smoke.
  • Lead-Cored Wicks: One of the primary concerns with candles used to be lead-based wicks, which would, of course, emit lead into the air when burned. However, in 2003, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) banned the manufacture and sale of all lead-based candles. So while lead emission is something you probably don’t need to worry about with newer candles, make sure you don’t have older candles in your stash that contain wicks with this harmful neurotoxin. (Here’s how to test and see if your candles have lead wicks)

Luckily, soy, beeswax, or tallow candles have a much cleaner burn and are non-toxic.

I wanted to create a fall cookbook for those of us suffering from hypothyroidism that makes you feel as if you’re inviting an old friend in for coffee. If you’ve been considering switching to a hypothyroidism diet, you may be wondering if you have to give up your favorite foods along with flavor. This is far from the truth. Switching to a hypothyroidism diet means that you are catering to heal your thyroid. You can still enjoy your favorite fall recipes following a hypothyroidism diet- you’ll just need to learn what substitutions you will need to make to create wonderful fall hypothyroidism recipes.

Many fall-inspired meals and treats are wonderfully delicious but are full of not-so-healthy-inspired ingredients and if you’re fighting hypothyroidism, you need to go the extra mile to help your body begin to heal. These recipes are so warm and filling that you wont miss out on any of the bad stuff. This is where this book that I’ve written for you comes into play.

In this book, you will find a collection of many fall favorite recipes that you and your family are sure to love. If you’ve ever considered a hypothyroidism diet, this recipe book is a great starting resource.

This book offers you great ideas along with a wide range of options!

-You have over 150 fall recipes that include breakfast, sides, salads, breads, puddings, stews, soups and casseroles!

  • Homemade all natural pumpkin latte spiced deodorant recipe
  • Easy and simple ways to make your house smell like fall
  • How to start healing your hypothyroidism from within

I love using wax tarts! Store-bought wax melts and candles bad-for-you ingredients which are in the form of artificial fragrances and colorants and emits toxins into the air that are harmful to health when inhaled. Most are made using paraffin wax. Paraffin wax is bad because it is a petroleum by-product which emits toxins into the air that are harmful to health when inhaled. Other companies might use soy wax. Now this might seem somewhat healthier than the alternative to paraffin wax, but it’s not. Most of soy anything is made using genetically modified soy beans that have been treated with pesticides and herbicides.
This will make 12 tarts.
½ c. + 2 tbsp. coconut oil
1 oz. {by weight} beeswax
Essential oil{s} of choice
Instructions
Bring two inches of water to a simmer over medium heat in a small saucepan that you will only use for making nonfood items. Cover the opening of the saucepan with a glass bowl to create a double boiler.
Put the coconut oil and beeswax in the glass bowl. Allow to heat, stirring occasionally, until completely melted.
Remove from the heat and thoroughly stir in essential oils.
Pour into mold and allow to cool until hardened {popping then in the refrigerator expedites this}.
To use, Please make sure you are safe and only place one in the proper bowl of a wax warmer and use the warmer as directed by the manufacturer.

The Best Autumn Essential Oil Recipes for Your Diffuser

Spicy Chai:
3 drops cardamom essential oil
2 drops cassia essential oil
2 drops clove essential oil
1 drop ginger essential oil
Combine with water (most of my diffusers use around 70 mL, but it can vary, 70 ml = 2.4 oz) in a cold air diffuser.

Spiced Citrus
3 drops wild orange essential oil
2 drops cinnamon bark essential oil
1 drop clove essential oil
Combine with water (most of my diffusers use around 70 mL, but it can vary,70 ml = 2.4 oz. ) in a cold air diffuser.

Walk in the Woods
3 drops frankincense essential oil
2 drops white fir essential oil
1 drop cedarwood essential oil

Combine with water (most of my diffusers use around 70 mL, but it can vary, 70 ml = 2.4 oz.) in a cold air diffuser.

Immune Booster:
1 drop rosemary essential oil
1drop clove essential oil
1 drop eucalyptus essential oil
1 drop cinnamon bark essential oil
1 drop wild orange essential oil
Combine with water (most of my diffusers use around 70 mL, but it can vary,70 ml = 2.4 oz. ) in a cold air diffuser.
Why Cold-Air Diffusers?
I prefer using a cold-air diffuser since it allows me to enjoy ALL the benefits of the essential oil–not just the scent. Unlike candle warmers, a cold-air diffuser doesn’t heat the oil, so all the therapeutic benefits of the essential oil remain intact.

( Caution: Make sure you do your research on each product if you have pets in the house. Not all essential oils are pet friendly)

It seems that Essential oils are sold everywhere. There are many great companies to purchase your quality essential oils.  What company you decide to buy from , always do some research on the seller. One guideline to consider is buying only USDA certified organic essential oils. I have enjoyed some my essentials oils and have had simply fantastic results when using them properly. Always do your research, start small and listen to your body.

This is a shell…. Hypothyroidism

I was at the point in my life where I was questioning everything. Nothing in my life really matters anyways. You only borrow it until we die and then it all goes. The only thing we truly own in our life is moments in time. This is a moment in time for me that will never be erased. I am writing this blog and you will read it. I have written it. No matter what happens this is my moment in time. This will be my moment in time because I lived here, and I was a part of this. Everything else, this computer, this cup of wine, this internet access will go. Even this body will go because it is a shell. what does it really even matter? This is only a shell. What is inside will live on forever.

I think, the eviction to process has to start with awareness, processing and questioning. We can get really specific and sit down and list these all the things that I don’t like about myself. These are the things about me that I don’t like but that I think, JUST ARE. Like maybe, I can’t focus, shut people out of my life to easily or maybe I allowed my hormones in my ever-changing older body to go crazy and I gained weight to much weight for myself to accept. Whatever those things are, don’t judge them, don’t do anything but make that list. Then go back and revisit and say, is that a story that I’ve just been telling myself for whatever reason? so, the eviction process has to stop with identifying the stories and then you can see the stories and then you can see,

see them for what they are and that when you can go either looking for evidence in stories of your life that prove the opposite. You know times when you are brave and you’re considering yourself an uncourageous person, or you can start borrowing the stories from other people and use that to lift as your own as you grow into that new place.

Be on the lookout for my next Hypothyroidism book that is life changing.

SUCCESS

HELLO FELLOW HUMANS, I AM CELEBRITY 298-J33

Celebrities have millions of followers or disciples but recent research has indicated that people who spend time obsessing or looking at the lives of celebrities have lower cognitive test scores.

A report in BMC Psychology explained that celebrity worshippers had lower intellectual capabilities but it was still not clear if this obsession was a cause or a consequence of such an impairment.

UNDERSTANDING THE RESEARCH TO LINK COGNITIVE ABILITIES TO WORSHIPPING CELEBRITIES

The researchers took in 1,763 Hungarian adults for a survey(online) which included several intelligence tests, which were designed to assess 2 different aspects of cognition.

The first of these tests was aimed to understand “crystallized intelligence” by testing the people’s vocabulary, while digital symbol tests were used to calculate their “fluid intelligence”.

The participants of this test completed the Celebrity Attitude Scale questionnaire, first, which was important to determine their level of obsession with these celebrities.

People whose interests were limited to discussing the same with friends were placed under the tab of “entertainment-social” fans. The next level was “intense-personal” and involved compulsive thinking about the said celebrities.

“Borderline-pathological” was deemed to be the highest level of obsession and people under this tab agreed with statements that involved being lucky enough to meet their favorite celebs and were asked to do “something illegal” they would probably do it.

The researchers then assessed their level of material wealth along with their self-esteem.

The researchers then deemed that higher levels of obsession with these celebrities were linked with reduced scores for both the fluid intelligence and crystallized one. They even confirmed that this trend would hold true even if they take other demographic factors into account.

Linear regression models did not succeed in indicating that the worship of celebs was indeed linked to the drop in cognitive abilities, which made it difficult to understand why such an association existed. The authors of this study speculated on the nature of this link and claimed that such an obsession hindered their cognitive abilities due to high levels of focus which was necessary for them to maintain a “one-sided emotional bond”.

They postulated that people who had higher levels of intelligence were less likely to worship the celebrities, as they were able to recognize the celebs’ “marketing strategies”.

It was ultimately concluded that more research was needed to determine if such an obsession was the consequence or cause of lower intelligence. The authors summed up their findings and explained that such a “worship” could be regarded as a contributing factor, which could alter and diminish cognitive abilities and was independent of demographic factors (education, material wealth, and age) although other factors might be stronger predictors of cognitive performance.

We will protect our children from a world that wants to commoditize humanity. This Age of Darkness is a collective dark matter perpetrated upon our souls. Humanity’s history has brought us to this very moment in time. This is a time of revelation, where the light will be forced onto the darkness. We must pick up our swords and fight this battle for future generations. You are part of a band of warriors coming forward that see through the veil of illusions. Our silence has been broken, and our voices must be heard. Each of us has a unique part to play, and we must remind humanity before it is lost and restore Mother Earth to her natural ways. Control the masses through manipulating industry, education, electronic devices, social media, and politics and divert their attention to what is happening behind closed doors. We must be vigilant in protecting our children’s health and future generations.

Thehypothyroidismchick.com determines coverage based on relevance, clinical significance, and editorial integrity. We give no priority to commercial considerations, and will always clearly distinguish between factual content, commentary, and opinions to avoid misleading readers with institutional propaganda and speculation.
