Fact: Every Cell in your body responds to your thyroid hormones. These hormones have a direct impact on every major system in your body.
Your health is a consequence of actions taken. It is a combination of sequences that you allowed to take place to get you to this point in your life. There is this big lie that we all got stuck in. Listen to me when I say there’s a major disconnect between what YOU believe to be healthy foods and what research tells us is healthy.
As our health goes, you would think that it would be a cinch to diagnose and pretty straightforward to treat. Each of us are unique individuals with different sensitivities. None of us has the same exact routine as far as what foods we eat, what chemicals we are exposed to and what medications we take but yet we all are similar when it comes to the routine protocols that we are given when we come down with an illness, disorder or disease.
Environmental chemicals and toxins, pesticides, BPA, thyroid endocrine disruptors, iodine imbalance, other medications, fluoride, overuse of soy products, cigarette smoking, and gluten intolerance. All of these play a very important role in your health.
As consumers we put our trust in the research and development of scientific studies, The FDA and The CDC. Drug store chains have quota’s to meet and even some of our Doctors get yearly bonus’s. Little do we do that behind closed doors corporations often pay scientists and these companies to support their product for profit. Some Politicians seem to have a revolving door between the private and public sector. The synthetic chemicals we face everyday that is in our food, our water, and the air that we breathe .
Did you know that products we use every day may contain toxic chemicals and has been linked to women’s health issues?
There are hidden endocrine disruptors and very tricky chemicals that play havoc on our bodies. “We are all routinely exposed to endocrine disruptors, and this has the potential to significantly harm the health of our youth,” said Renee Sharp, EWG’s director of research. “It’s important to do what we can to avoid them, but at the same time we can’t shop our way out of the problem”. We need to have a real chemical policy reform.” The longer the length of ingredients on your food label means how much more unhealthy it is for you to consume. When an item contains a host of ingredients that most likely you cant even pronounce or remember to spell you can bet your lucky dollar that the natural nutrients are long gone. These highly processed frank n foods are very difficult for the body to break down and some of the chemicals will become stored in your body.
Pesticides, herbicides, GMOs in our food, fluoride and chlorine and trace pharmaceutical residue in the water supplies, methane, carbon monoxide and industrial pollutants in the air, and the toxic chemicals in our everyday household products.
No wonder our bodies are completely bombarded and overwhelmed with the constant exposed to toxic chemicals through the air that we breathe, the water we drink, the foods we eat, the personal care products and cleaning products we use.
Every Cell in your body responds to the foods you eat, the products you put on your body to the house hold chemicals that you purchase for your home. All of these things have a direct impact on your hormones and in return your hormones have a direct impact on every major system in your body. Not to mention that our body is lacking certain nutrients that heavily influence the function of every cell in our body.
The foods that we consume, oh, the foods we consume.
Sometimes I want to shake people and say, “Wake Up”! You have the power to make a difference in your life. You’ve always had the power. No one can force you to become more aware of what you put on your body and what you put in your body. What you consume is just as important as what you lather on yourself. Adjusting your life, reading labels and catering to your specific health needs isn’t easy but it will benefit you in the long run. This is one of the smartest decisions that you can make. Not only will you start to look and feel better but think of the medical cost that you could be saving your future self.
Disease DOESN’T just strike at whim. What if I told you that most diseases have an underlying ROOT cause? That YOU aren’t some random number picked by nature to have an Autoimmune Disorder, Hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, Cancer, high blood pressure, Diabetes or Alzheimer’s. Would you believe me if I told you that you hold the key to the answer.
Did you know that it takes 26 seconds for the chemicals to enter into your bloodstream? Most commercial personal care products are full of endocrine disrupting chemicals that wreak havoc on our hormones. On average women use 9 personal care and cosmetic products per day and this can add up to a mixture up its about 126 different hormone disrupting chemicals and add this to the toxins you’re exposed to each day when you got out into the world. Over 1000 of these ingredients have already been banned in Europe but not here in the United States where our FDA has only banned 11 of those ingredients in our personal care products.
The real reality is we are damaging our DNA and we are changing our genetic makeup for future generations. There was a study a few years back that said the umbilical cord of an average American baby has over 200 known chemicals in it. Eighty percent of the common chemicals that are used daily in this country, we know almost nothing about. Our children are being born toxic and we have no idea if these toxins are already doing some sort of damage their brains, their immune system, their reproductive system, and any other developing organs.
Are we unknowingly setting ourselves up for failure in the womb, even before birth?
Scientists and researchers are concerned that many of these chemicals may be carcinogenic or wreak havoc with our hormones, our body’s regulating system.
Most products have a warning label that is typed in bold “Keep Out of Reach of Children”. As consumers, we believe that if our children don’t ingest these products they will not be harmed by them. This can be far from the truth. Think about other common methods of exposure are through the skin and our respiratory tract. WE are along with our children are often in contact with the chemical residues housecleaning products do leave behind, by crawling, lying and sitting on the freshly cleaned floor.
Scientists at Norway’s University of Bergen tracked 6,000 people, with an average age of 34 at the time of enrollment in the study, who used the cleaning products over a period of two decades, according to the research published in the American Thoracic Society’s American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
We are creating a toxic shit storm within our very own bodies. The real reality is we are damaging our DNA and we are changing our genetic makeup for future generations. These chemicals in our body products, our food, our beverages, the vaccines and the pharmaceuticals create a breeding ground for sickness.
Have you heard of gene mutation? It’s when the cells are changed by chemicals they are either damaged, lost or copied. These processed foods that are full of man-made chemicals, fluoridated municipal tap water, genetically modified foods, refined oils, herbicides like roundup, Artificial sweeteners, Vaccines and the yearly flu shot – often contain mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde and MSG, Pharmaceutical medications and a lot of the Pharmaceutical medications are loaded with fluoride, OTC (over-the-counter) medications for colds, allergies, headaches and fever – often contain heavy metal toxins, artificial sweeteners and toxic industrial-based food dyes. Let’s not forget to mention the over use of antibiotics, antacids, aspirin, and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) which completely change the environment in our gut.
It’s not enough to be aware of all the outdoor chemicals that we are exposed to everyday but inside our homes we can have more power and control. We have to be more aware about using chemical cleaners, paints, glues, body lotions, toothpastes, underarm deodorants, hair products and pesticides. Instead start to begin to use products that don’t pollute our very own bodies. We must do our own research, make our own products or be a smarter shopper and start reading labels. I can’t stress this enough. We must take a stand for our health. Stop using commercial products that are laced with unknown and harmful body damaging ingredients.
Sometimes we have to do a little pruning of the branches, in order for the tree to be healthy again. A number of things can be the reason why you have hormonal imbalances, food intolerances, thyroid issues, adrenal fatigue, weight gain, insomnia, personality changes, leaky gut, depression, an autoimmune disorder, chronic pain, no metabolism and low sex drive, bloating, anxiety, menstrual problems and infertility. It starts with becoming aware and how your health can be influenced by all these different circumstances.
The bread your buying at the store really isn’t real bread your buying. The white bread in the grocery is not the bread that our ancestors use to eat. 65% of the foods we eat are made from grains that are grown in a field such as grain bread, whiskey pasta and beer just to name a few. Wheat is made up of 3 parts the bran, the germ and the starchy endosperm.
The way the grain is processed has a huge impact not only on the way it taste and how healthy it is for you. Our ancestors used every part of the grain when they made their bread. White bread on the store shelves is made by a industrial process that strips out the wheat into all purpose flour and in most cases if you read the back of the labels you will see chemicals additives added. These chemical additives is what gives white bread a longer shelve life. White bread is also only made from the starchy endosperm which your body turns into pure sugar.
( look at this article https://www.amymyersmd.com/2017/02/3-important-reasons-give-gluten-autoimmune-disease/)
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) considers 60 percent of herbicides, 90 percent of fungicides, and 30 percent of insecticides to be carcinogenic, and most are damaging to your nervous system as well. In fact, these powerful and dangerous chemicals have been linked to numerous health problems such as:
Neurotoxicity and Parkinson’s disease
Disruption of your endocrine system
Carcinogenicity
Immune system suppression
Miscarriages, male infertility and reduced reproductive function
This information should make you rethink when you are considering whether to buy local, organic vegetables or not.
Our bodies have no way of adapting to these GMO and food like substances that we’ve been consuming. Every cell in your body is wrapped in a membrane of half fat and half protein. If you are constantly feeding these cells unnatural fatty acids, that membrane cannot function like it is designed to do and disease starts at the cellular level.
Dr. Luise Light is a nutrition expert and led the team at the Department of Agriculture that made the original recommendations for the food pyramid. If you review her original recommendations, they sound similar to dietary advice given by nutritionists today: lots of vegetables, more lean sources of protein like fish and nuts, and less dairy and processed foods.
Those guidelines, according to Dr. Light, did not survive their trip to the office of the Head of the Department of Agriculture. She has described herself as “shocked” by the changes that were made. Her team placed fruits and vegetables at the base of the pyramid and whole-grain breads and cereals further up. The new guidelines not only switched carbohydrates to the base of the pyramid, they moved processed foods like crackers and corn flakes, which Dr. Light and her team had placed at the top of the pyramid with chocolate, to the base too. Even with all the edits, the food pyramid was not released for another 12 years.
The American government has massive influence over our diet. Federal policy shapes our farm system to a astonishing level and this also is the reason why our unhealthy school lunch menu remains for millions of schoolchildren.
“Good advice about nutrition conflicts with the interests of many big industries,” Michael Jacobson, co-founder of the Center for Science in the Public Interest, has said, “each of which has more lobbying power than all the public-interest groups combined.” But the real problem is that manufacturers of unhealthy food are so powerful that those interests groups are always the pushing snack foods rather than fruit.
There’s a lot of money to be made selling obesity foods, and you can’t move America in a healthier direction without confronting the salty, sugary, finger-licking, just-one-more-chip financial firepower of the food industrial complex.
If you take the current food pyramid and turn it upside-down that is what our food pyramid should look like.
Looking at the bigger picture. Follow the money. It’s a revolving door. This is bigger than any of us can imagine. It’s more than just being lied to about our food pyramid. This revolving door certainly enables certain private vested interests to have a strong influence, way beyond that of us ordinary citizens, on how the government works, and that the country is still increasingly being run by a cozy group of insiders with ties to both government and industry. Most people keep a blind eye to it and actually its safer to not fight this fight or suggest anything alone these lines if you want to stay alive. This has been termed crony capitalism. People have been killed for lesser whistle blower statements.

You have to start addressing what the root cause is of your health issues. Would you take Motrin if you got a rock stuck in your shoe? Your health issue has a root cause. We often ignore the underlying cause of health illnesses. Sometimes we have to do a little pruning of the branches, in order for the tree to be healthy again. A number of things can be the reason why you are going through what you are going through with your health. It could be a wide range of things from celiac disease, Hashimoto’s, leaky gut, autoimmune disease disorder, nutrient deficiency’s, adrenal fatigue, exposure to chemicals, gluten or other food allergies, and hormonal imbalance. Most of your “conditions” and labels are a lack of the proper nutrition and/or vitamins and minerals. Why not do a little research and find what is causing your disorder? Look up what nutritional steps you need to start taking. What environmental things have an effect on your disorder and start avoiding that. Why not give you body a fighting chance to heal the issue at hand with herbs, specific vitamins & other natural supplements. In each stage of our lives our bodies change and we must learn to adapt and adjust what it needs. Trust me when I say, there certainly isn’t a substitute for figuring out the real underlying reason for your “condition”. I am not saying try this solely on your on I would recommend that you get qualified holistic health practitioner or a Naturopath Doctor in your area that will be able to order the appropriate tests for you, and also help you interpret them. Your body is an awesome design but there is a complex balance between everything. It’s like a domino. One thing in your body that is overworked can cause a major shift in how things operate. Sometimes we have to do a little pruning of the branches, in order for the tree to be healthy again. Again, I can’t say this often enough. There is not one size fits all.
See we have to get your thyroid to start working properly or else it can wreak havoc on your life. As you’ve read your thyroid is responsible for so many things. It regulates your metabolism, makes energy, adjusts your mood, helps you sleep, and even helps aid in good digestion but your see this is where you come into play. Like anything else in life you get back what you give. You must take control and start today following these tips in this book so you can start healing your thyroid naturally.
Here are the five strategies you should begin doing today.
Heal Your Gut
Your gut is your portal to health. It houses 80 percent of your immune system, and without your gut being healthy it is practically impossible to have a healthy immune system. A leaky gut have been linked to hormonal imbalances, autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and hashimotos thyroiditis, diabetes, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, anxiety, depression, eczema and rosacea, and that is just to name a few. So you can understand why a properly working digestive system (your gut) is vital to your health.
Contrary to what we use to believe. We now know that having a leaky gut is one of the main reasons, and probably the beginning stage, for developing an autoimmune disease. Having a leaky gut means that the tight junctions that usually hold the walls of your intestines together have become loose, allowing undigested food particles, microbes, toxins, and more to leave your gut and enter your bloodstream. This will cause your body to become full of inflammation, which in return will start to trigger an autoimmune condition and if you already have an autoimmune condition it will certainly make it worse.
Luckily for you. Your gut is made up of wonderful cells that can turn over very quickly, so you can start to heal your gut in as little as thirty days, by following these 4 R guidelines: Remove, Restore, Replace and Repair
Remove the damage — Remove these inflammatory foods, household & body chemicals, drink filtered water( to avoid fluoride and chloride) , stop using aluminum brand deodorant, start using fluoride free brand tooth pastes, start to reduce your stress that damage your gut, do a detox to heal any gut infections from yeast, parasites, or bacteria.
Restore the Strong — replenish the enzymes and digestive acids that are necessary for proper digestion
Replace with friendly Bacteria — Make sure you are taking plenty a good strong probiotic that is full of these much needed “good bacteria” to start supporting your immune system. Here is a great product that I use. You can do your own research and I am sure there are other brands out there that are wonderful too. Garden Of Life Dr. Formulated Probiotics Once Daily Women’s, 30 Count
Repair the digestive Tract — Give you gut a fighting chance by supplying the nutrients and amino acids needed to build a healthy gut lining. (Gelatin can improve your ability to produce adequate gastric acid secretions that are needed for proper digestion and nutrient absorption. Glycine from gelatin is important for restoring a healthy mucosal lining in the stomach and facilitating with the balance of digestive enzymes ( Here is a brand that I use Garden of Life RAW Enzymes Women, 90 Capsules) and stomach acid. The best way to consume gelatin make them into broth or soup. You can do this by simply brewing some bone broth at home using this Bone Broth Recipe. If the appeal of drinking broth from dead animal bones doesn’t seem that appealing in-which I personally find the average commercial brand of collagen pretty gross. Most collagen supplements are produced from the bones, skin, and connective tissue of animals, including cattle, fish, horses, pigs, or rabbits. The idea of drinking bones+ connective tissue from dead animals doesn’t appeal to me at all. Even if they say it’s from “grass-fed animals”. YUCK!I get my COLLAGEN that is made from fish the brand I use is a Marine based Collagen and it is sourced from the scales of wild-caught, non-GMO Red Snapper , wild-caught in the Pacific Ocean near Hawaii using sustainable harvesting instead of being sourced from the hides of pasture-raised, grass-fed bovine.
Change Your Diet
We are creating a perfect shit storm within our bodies. The less nutrients we consume, more toxins we add, create this world win of health issues. It’s sad that our western diet is made up of red meats, vegetable oils, white flour and sugar. Who would have thought that something so simple as eating has become so complicated? Food does matter. It talks to your DNA. Food can change your DNA!
The foods you eat have a major impact on autoimmune disease — It affects your gut health and along with increasing or decreasing the inflammation in your body. Unfortunately, our western world diet are full of foods that have a bad impact on both your gut and your inflammation. Start with eating whole foods that are anti-inflammatory. For instance, omega-3 wild fish, leafy greens and turmeric. If it was made in a lab, avoid it. Do a little research and you will find that our western diet that is made up of processed, fake foods, chemicals, sugar and corn oils are all highly flaming the fan of your inflammation. Begin to start reading labels. You will soon discover that health foods such as low-fat and gluten-free packaged foods, which are often loaded with sugar, additives, and preservatives. Grains, dairy, legumes, eggs, corn, and soy are not the cornerstones to a healthy diet anymore they can contribute to a leaky gut and inflammation. Did you know that Gluten triggers the release of a chemical called zonulin, which tells the walls of your intestines to open up and by doing so this releases toxins into your bloodstream?
Feed the masses and feed them cheap.
Think about what you’re putting in your body. Either you’re fighting disease or feeding disease. You must get a concept of nutrient density. Many of the foods we tend to eat, block nutrients from being absorbed. Gluten, dairy and soy products create inflammation in the digestive tract. In ancient times grains were prepared by soaking, sprouting and fermenting but that tradition in making them been long forgotten with our fast-paced culture. If you have inflammation in the digestive system undigested proteins leak into the blood stream creating a heightened immune reaction that often makes your thyroid issues worse and can lead to a leaky gut which causes other problems.
Reduce Your Toxic Burden
These are commonly found in items like antibacterial soap, deodorant, lotions, and makeup. These things are poisonous. Your skin is the largest organ in the body. Whatever you put on your skin goes into your body. I can’t preach this enough. If you can’t eat it, then don’t apply it to your skin. I understand this might not be 100% doable but every little bit helps your body. Every day we are exposed to a huge number of chemical toxins without our own doing. It’s in our water, the pollution in our air, the insecticides and herbicides that are is sprayed on our food and the chemicals that are spray on our lawns.
Environmental chemicals and toxins, pesticides, BPA, thyroid endocrine disruptors, iodine imbalance, other medications, fluoride, overuse of soy products, cigarette smoking, and gluten intolerance. All of these play a very important role in your thyroid health. A nonprofit group called Beyond Pesticides warns that some 60 percent of pesticides used today have been shown to affect the thyroid gland’s production of T3 and T4 hormones. Commercially available insecticides and fungicides have also been involved. Even dental x-rays have been linked to an increased risk of thyroid disorders.
Did you know that products we use every day may contain toxic chemicals and has been linked to women’s health issues? They are hidden endocrine disruptors and are very tricky chemicals that play havoc on our bodies. “We are all routinely exposed to endocrine disruptors, and this has the potential to significantly harm the health of our youth,” said Renee Sharp, EWG’s director of research. “It’s important to do what we can to avoid them, but at the same time we can’t shop our way out of the problem. We need to have a real chemical policy reform.” The longer the length of ingredients on your food label means how much more unhealthy it is for you to consume. When an item contains a host of ingredients that most likely you can’t even pronounce or remember to spell you can bet your lucky dollar that the natural nutrients are long gone. These highly processed frank n foods are very difficult for the body to break down and some of the chemicals will become stored in your body. Click on this link to see what you should avoid.
Pesticides, herbicides, GMOs in our food, fluoride and chlorine and trace pharmaceutical residue in the water supplies, methane, carbon monoxide and industrial pollutants in the air, and the toxic chemicals in our everyday household products.
No wonder our bodies are completely bombarded and overwhelmed with the constant exposed to toxic chemicals through the air that we breathe, the water we drink, the foods we eat, and the personal care products and cleaning products we use.
The Centers of Disease Control found traces of 212 different chemicals in a group of people that they studied over the course of five years, and that’s only the chemicals they tested for! Your body is absorbing all these toxins.
Nobody knows the effects of all these chemicals has on our bodies and yet thousands of chemicals are in regular use daily. By you having a higher toxic burden it puts a strain on your body and puts you at greater risk of developing an autoimmune disease.
I understand that you can’t live in a bubble but you can start reading labels, you can reduce you’re the daily toxic burden on your body.
Be mindful of what you eat.
Be mindful of what you put on your body. (Read labels)

Heal Your Body
People don’t want a weight loss product. People want and need the health advantages that a slimmer body will give them. You have to start addressing what the root cause is of your hypothyroidism. Would you take Motrin if you got a rock stuck in your shoe? Hypothyroidism does has a root issue. We often ignore the underlying cause of hypothyroidism. Sometimes we have to do a little pruning of the branches, in order for the tree to be healthy again. A number of things can be the reason why you have hypothyroidism. Relieve Your Stress
Many of us find ourselves in this cycle of so much responsibility that at times it seems impossible to manage. We are over worked and the chronic stress is breaking us down. Chronis stress keeps our cortisol levels elevated. If our cortisol levels are staying elevated, it begins to interfere with many other areas of our body which are the immune system, digestion, sleep, and even the ability to produce other essential hormones such as estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and YES you named it last but not least our THYROID which can cause an autoimmune reaction. Once you start to eliminate all grains, processed foods, caffeine, soda’s, fake food and any food allergens you seem to be left with what can I eat? Each week I decide what I am going to eat. I like to plan ahead. I like easy & fast. Since my kids have all grown up and its normally me here alone in the evenings, cooking for one is rather boring and I am honestly, burnt out from cooking all these years.
We are creating a perfect storm within our bodies. The less nutrients we consume, more toxins we add, create this world win of health issues. It’s sad that our western diet is made up of red meats, vegetable oils, white flour and sugar. Who would of thought that something so simple as eating has become so complicated. Food does matter. It talks to your DNA . Food can change your DNA!
The foods you eat have a major impact on autoimmune disease — It affects your gut health and along with increasing or decreasing the inflammation in your body. Unfortunately, our western world diet are full of foods that have a bad impact on both your gut and your inflammation.
We’ve been molded and brain washed with the American standard diet. Have google and imagination, will travel, right? Please don’t feel this is complicated. It’s not.

Tips on how to be successful in the kitchen!
1. Never skip breakfast! Keeping your blood sugar stable throughout the day is important. You dont want your blood sugar to drop nor get to high. Eating breakfast does jump-start your digestion and fire up your metabolism, as well as helping the body regulate blood sugar levels. Also, when you skip breakfast it makes your adrenal glands respond by secreting a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol then tells the liver to produce more glucose, bringing blood sugar levels back to normal. What happens when you have to much cortisol? It collects around you midsection. With hypothyroidism you already have higher levels of cortisol in your body than someone without hypothyroidism. Cortisol is that hormone that is involved in the “flight or fight” response. Before you go grab that donut or high carb breakfast remember the word, metabolic syndrome. There is a strong connection between thyroid dysfunction and metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome is caused by chronic hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). When you gobble down too many carbs, the pancreas secretes insulin to move excess glucose from the blood into the cells where glucose is used to produce energy. But over time, the cells lose the ability to respond to insulin. After so long of your insulin knocking at your front door of the cells, , the cells stop hearing them. The pancreas responds by pumping out even more insulin (knocking louder) in an effort to get glucose into the cells, and this eventually causes insulin resistance. So with all this being said How should you handle breakfast with hypothyroidism?
Never skip it
Wait 1 hour after you have taken your thyroid medication and wait 4 hours after your thyroid medication to take any supplements. Also, if you take other medications check with your pharmacists to make sure its okay to take it along with your thyroid medications.
Drink lemon water with your thyroid medication. It cleanses the digestive system and gets your metabolism firing on all cylinders.
Pick a low GI and healthy protein with a healthy fat for breakfast. I love eggs and I am not allergic to them but many are. I eat 2 boiled eggs, sauerkraut along with a tablespoon of coconut oil (healthy fat) and a splash of organic applecider vinegar in my decafe green tea. This is your breakfast. Be creative. Low GI fruits and veggies will help you not have sugar spikes! Eating a low-glycemic foods will help you control your calories, eat high-fiber, high-nutrient foods, and help you manage your weight more successfully. Sample breakfast for you could be gluten free old-fashioned oats, a tablespoon of flax-seed oil or coconut oil, cinnamon healthy fat and blueberries. Another breakfast option is 2 slices of nitrate free uncured turkey bacon or nitrate free, uncured bacon along with avocado and blueberries.
Option #3: Greek Yogurt/non dairy yogurt or Cottage Cheese topped with berries and almonds.
Option #4: Can of Tuna, organic Apple and 1tbs of olive oil
Option #5: organic Chicken breast, organic Salad Greens, Apple and Half an Avocado
Option #6: cage free Omelette ,2 whole eggs and Berries cooked in a good fat
Option #7: Garden of life fit shake mix with 1 cup unsweetened almond milk , 1 tablespoon of flax-seed oil and serving of blueberries Another smoothie recipe is Half of Avocado
1 handful organic romaine lettuce
1 handful of organic celery
1 handful of organic cucumber
1/2 cup of blueberries
8 ounces of water , blend and drink…..
Since we are talking breakfast try to hit the re-bounder for at-least 5 minutes too.A rebounder is great for getting your lymph fluid flowing and keeping your thyroid healthy. The lymphatic system and thyroid play a big part in your metabolic rate, so getting them moving is a great option.
MeditationStart your day our with meditation and a grateful heart. There are many people who weren’t able to wake up and live another day. I can’t even begin to express the importance of the power of meditation has over the body. It’s been proven to lower your levels of cortisol which is also known as the stress hormone. I like to start my day off listening to mediation music to clear my head while I have my legs up against the wall using this yoga pose.
Legs up the wall pose will not only help with your thyroid functions but it also relieves back pain, helps with insomnia, improves posture, helps with anxiety, naturally adjusts your spine, improves your digestion and it starts a lymphatic circulation. Your lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump and relies on our movements and gravity to circulate lymph fluid where the toxins in this fluid can be eliminated from your body. If we sit all day the lymph fluid becomes stagnant and start to collect toxins. By simply reversing the flow of gravity in your legs, you begin to circulate the lymphatic fluid and encourage the body to start the elimination of toxins. Dry brushing also will simulate the lymphatic system and improve skin tone.
13. Perform the 5 Tibetan Rites
These 5 actions, when done together and in the recommended sequence, can help jump-start your metabolism. They include spinning in a circle, doing leg lifts, arching your back, making a table, and a full body lunge.
Here is a free video which shows how to do a complete circuit of the five rites, including rests between them. She’s able to complete it in a little over 10 minutes, so this is something that you can work into your busiest of mornings, and will set the tone of calm and tranquility that washes over the rest of your day.
2. Meal prepping
On Sunday I always meal prep because it helps improve my time management throughout the week, helps keep me stay on track, saves me money, helps me regulate my portion control , helps me stay mentally in the game and has been the #1 one strategy that has helped me eat healthy meals and snacks throughout the week . Since this food task has already been complete I don’t worry about what I am going to eat. I can open up the fridge and grab what I need. Meals stored in the fridge will usually last three days. I never chance it further than that others do.
3. Leftovers are wonderful
Sometimes you just dont feel like cooking the next day. There is nothing wrong with eating dinner for breakfast the following day. Sometimes you just get so busy that you barely have time to think. Let alone have time to meal prep for the week. Your short on time so how about cooking meals that work double-time and I personally think taste even better after sitting a day in the fridge.
4. Try Batch cooking.
Batch cooking to me runs on the same lines as meal prepping but your freezing these meals to grab later and cook. This also can help you stay on track with hypothyroidism diet by being prepared. A simple way to always have food ready is to batch cook. When you batch cook you spend a little longer in the kitchen by preparing a big load of food that you can warm-up the following days.
5. Slow cooking
I love coming home to mouthwatering smells of a homemade ready to eat slow-cooked meals! All you have to do is grab a plate and dig in.
There’s nothing like the aroma of a home-cooked dinner welcoming you at the door. No time to be in the kitchen? The wonderful thing about a crock pot is you have little prep time. You won’t have to stand over a hot stove cooking your food and it’s perfect for those hectic days. We all want that convenience! Do you need foods that promote thyroid health? Life is a wonderful journey.
6. Address Food sensitivities
Food allergies
If you allergic to certain foods it is will involve your the immune system. Your know that your immune system controls how your body defends itself. Your body see’s inflammatory foods as invaders and will kick in your autoimmunity responses. For example if you have a food allergy to cow’s milk, your immune system will see cow’s milk as an invader. In-return your immune system overreacts by producing antibodies called Immunoglobulin E (IgE). These antibodies travel to cells that release chemicals, causing an allergic reaction to start fighting for your body. Being tested for food allergies seems to be easiest way to check to see if you have any food allergies so you can start avoiding these foods and help your immune system become strong again.
7. Fix your gut
Probiotics can help to begin repairing the lining in your gut. This also aids in helping to balance your hormones. if someone has leaky gut syndrome it allows undigested food particles to leak through your gut into your bloodstream and in return creates disease-causing inflammation that will have a impact on your body — especially your thyroid glands where they are very susceptible to inflammation. Did you know that your gut is the largest component of your immune system? It introduces friendly bacteria into your digestive system that helps to keep illness’s at bay and they are rich in live bacteria that help us absorb nutrients along with maintain proper microbiome gut balance. Research has proven that gut health could affect inflammation, allergies and autoimmune disorders in the body as a whole. Around 1,000 different species of bugs live in your gut. Your gut has been linked to contributing to weight loss and for overall improvement of numerous symptoms, including depression, anxiety, brain fog, skin problems, hormonal issues, immune weaknesses, digestive problems, and fatigue.

Did you know that most of these products we use every day contain toxic chemicals and has been linked to women’s health issues? They are hidden endocrine disruptors and are very tricky chemicals that play havoc on our bodies. “We are all routinely exposed to endocrine disruptors, and this has the potential to significantly harming our health. Start making your own cleaning products. In my next book, that will be out by Spring 2018, you will get fantastic cleaning recipes plus more.
I hope you found this blog helpful! First thing, get your diet right. Eat nutrient rich foods. Eliminate high-fructose corn syrup and other added sugars from your diet (these could be the cause of those hypoglycemic episodes). If it’s high in carbs, low in natural fiber and it didn’t grow on a tree, picked from a bush or vine, or get pulled from the ground, probably don’t eat it. Almost all issues can be cleared up with good food and good exercise or the elimination of bad food, but it takes time. Sometimes years.
As you can see, the key to be successful on healing your hypothyroidism is to change your mindset and be prepared. The #1 kitchen strategy to make sure your eating healthy meals and snacks throughout the week is to stop winging it… I find it much easier to eat nutritious foods and control portions when I take the time to prepare food in advance.

Mother Nature paints this beautiful landscape of rich golden enchanting colors. The sound of leaves crackling benefit my feet as I take a deep breath of the fresh air crisp. My soul begins to feel the renewed harmony from the hot hazy, hustle and bustle days of summer. In the distance, I hear the gabble of a flock of geese all lined up in perfect formation beginning to head south for the winter. The smell of fall scented candles and Friday night football games let’s not fail to forget the fun of tailgating. I have many fond memories of laughing around a bonfire, and staying toasty while enjoying a night out with friends. I just love the way my oversized sweater snugs my skin and the warm pumpkin latte keeps my belly warm. Fall is one of the most packed holiday seasons. This is a season to be truly thankful, and to simply surround yourself with friend and family that are dear to your heart. Falls scents make me think of Pumpkin spice lattes, gingerbread men, cinnamon and citrus flavors.
I love when guests come over and say , “Mmm! Your house smells so clean and inviting”! “What’s your secret?” It’s really not that hard to get your house to smell wonderfully delicious. Sometimes it’s because I’ve been baking, and other times it’s because I have a pot simmering on the stove.
Autumn is a the beginning of a perfect season to start making your own scents for your home. You can impress your friends and family while creating a healthy all natural fall scents that are warm, comforting and cozy.
After I started researching on my journey to heal my hypothyroidism. I was stunned by how these delightful and sometimes very expensive scents were so toxic to our bodies.
These products are often filled with carcinogenic chemicals and other harmful toxins which can have an affect on our breathing, our hormones and our brain.
Look at some of the common chemicals found in air fresheners:
Acetaldehyde – This chemical with a deceptively innocuous fruity odor is a known carcinogen.
Benzaldehyde – Classified by United States Environmental Protection Agency as a hazardous substance, this chemical smells of almond oil.
1,3-Dichloro-2-propanol – A strong-smelling chemical known to cause kidney and liver cancers.
1,4-Dichlorobenzene – Another carcinogen with a strong smell that can mask other odors by numbing our sensory receptors.
Methyl pyrrolidone – featured on the list of Chemicals Known to the State to Cause Cancer or Reproductive Toxicity according to the California Proposition 65.
Add to these to a petroleum-based solvents and fake fragrances, and now we are talking about a potent concoction of cancer- causing substances, least not fail to mention their role in causing neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.

Where To Get Essential Oils
You can click on this link and put in what scent you want to purchase. For all of the blends on this page, I use only doTerra essential oils.
Everyone should have some warm and inviting candles. They are a nice way to make your home fell warm and cozy throughout the cool Fall and cold Winter months. Why not make you own all natural and safe scented candles? These super easy mason jar candles contains beeswax along with , essential oils such as cinnamon, vanilla and clove.
Ok you will need to start by melting your wax. Melt 2 cups of wax and this will make 2 candle jars. Melt one cup of wax at a time and microwave for two minutes. Continue microwaving at 1 minute intervals until melted. Next add the other cup of wax to the container and microwave in one minute intervals until it is all melted. It normally take about me about 5 minutes total. (make sure you never use the same measuring glass that you use for your food. I have one that I use just for candle making.
Next start to prepare your candle wick while you wax is melting. Wrap the end of the wick around a wood skewer or pencil and balance the skewer on the top of the jar-this holds the wick in place while your candle is setting. Make sure the metal end of the wick is resting on the bottom of the jar.
When the wax is completely melted add vanilla and spices, mixing well with a skewer.
Gently and slowly pour the wax mixture into your two jars, adjusting your wick necessary. Sometimes the wick likes to move, this is when you need to adjust it back into place. Let the candles to set for 4-5 hours until firm.
Why do I use beeswax instead of other products.
Beeswax candles: Natures natural air purifier
Pure beeswax candles are healthy. Beeswax candles produces negative ions that actually clean your air of odors, pollen, smoke, dust, dust mites, viruses, asthma, allergies, and hay fever! Bee-wax candles leave your indoor air fresher and cleaner. Many air purifiers and water filters harness this effective negative ion technology. They are the only candle for anyone with chemical sensitivities or allergies.
When you increase the negative ions in the air. Your mood improves and it gives you a sense of wellness.
With increased negative ions, studies how shown that it :
Improves sleep
Enhances immune system
Relief from hay fever & allergies
Proven to lessen asthma related symptoms
Improves air quality
Improves concentration
helps to balancing hormones
Its’ a natural detoxification
Sneaky labeling on beeswax candles
A candle may be labeled “beeswax” if it contains as little as 10% beeswax – the remaining ingredients is most likely paraffin. watch out for “natural” labels. If the label doesn’t say “100% beeswax” or “pure beeswax”, it almost certainly is not.
Insist on 100% Pure Beeswax. The natural choice.
The problem with paraffin candles
“Regular candles,” are made from paraffin wax, a by-product of petroleum refining. The result? A highly toxic (and environmentally unfriendly) product that literally poisons the air you breathe.
Paraffin wax is the sludge at the bottom of the barrel of crude oil. Then the “Chemists” mix in toxic concoctions of colors and fragrances to make this waste product appealing to us consumers! These candles when burned release eleven documented toxins –two of which are carcinogenic. Have you seen the black soot stains left on your walls, ceilings, furniture, and drapery. These toxic tiny particles are easily inhaled and may cause respiratory irritation in your lungs. The American Lung Association has issued a warning against breathing the eleven documented toxins (two of which are carcinogenic) that are released, along with soot, when a paraffin candle burns.

I had no interest in becoming a writer. I’ve never cared too much about reading books, writing and being in English class did nothing for me. Upon having finally succumbed to writing , I now realize what no teacher in a classroom couldn’t possibly show me – Writing about Hypothyroidism is actually saving my life mentally, physically and spiritually.
Writing about Hypothyroidism is, in fact, my life’s triumph on many levels. I am trying to achieve the impossible while capturing a heart-based approach in the midst of ill health and unfortunate genetics. As this life proceeds, I find that writing about hypothyroidism takes me into battle with a remarkably different energy and intention than I’ve ever felt before. The harsh truth is it seems sometimes that we have little control over what the outcomes are and each of us has unique experiences this disease that has been created for us. It makes us feel vulnerable that we are led to believe we have very little control over what may transpire. This is one of the most negative aspects of this cruel affliction. I am no hero but I stand for a higher purpose and my vibration that I want you all to know and feel is that when I am writing about hypothyroidism I have on my Armour and my intentions are simply pure protection, grounded in love, filled with compassion and searching for true aspiration.
Writing about hypothyroidism has given me different aspect in my quest. My vision has changed in along the way. “I did not necessarily feel that we are being heard, taking seriously and its being sweep under the rug, as other things”. We have allowed modern day technology along with unknowingly accepting and believing what our doctors say to make us think that being cured from hypothyroidism is a false belief that our bodies will only heal entirely on medications.
Everything we accept in Western society without question serve to show no purpose to our lively hood and you must realize just how much we’ve been conditioned away from our intuitive instinct. It’s actually pretty ridiculous and very harmful on so may levels just how collectively we continue these beliefs that our doctors know everything we know nothing.
I will continue to rise and stand up for you. Research the truths. Find the answers that so many of us are seeking. When I am told ‘no’ and ‘I can’t’ . I will push through and continue to prove that all our lives matter. This is what , ‘It’s what I’m here to do’ and I will continue to search for the truth.
When I am writing, sitting behind my computer , I am not a woman following the rules of a what modern day technology is feeding us. I want you to know that you have extraordinary powers perfectly given to you from God. Just like me, he has giving us permission to tap into them, and draw on them, at any time, at any place. It’s like a downward flow from a river. We are not a meaningless natural process. Each of us has a Purpose. We must find that purpose and step into our paths.
You have a spiritual secret that you must tap into that has been giving to you along with your hypothyroidism.
One of the 1st things we have forgotten is to follow nature’s path and live in balance with it. You see you have everything you need to heal your hypothyroidism but you must apply it. Every cell in our body responds to the foods we eat, the products we put on our bodies and the household chemicals that we come in contact with every day. Take a step back. Look at your life. Read labels and stop over loading your body with shit it doesn’t recognize and certainly doesn’t know what to do with.
Another thing we have forgotten is how what we say out mouths can block our blessings. Words have power and when you speak the negative thoughts out of your mouth you are blocking your blessings and giving those words power over your life. Negative words and thinking will keep us captive. Stop unknowingly choking your own blessings with negative thoughts and words that you speak.
Prayer for today:
Lord, please help me to get out of my own way so I don’t miss out on the wonderful things You have for me. Help me to remember that Your promises are true and You have always and will always provide my every need. Your word says, that You will bless me, exceedingly, abundantly and above all that I can ask or think.
In Jesus’ name I pray,
Amen!

We have come to expect “untruths” from every public forum, starting with the guests on TV chat shows, and ending with hoaxes on Twitter. The way you present yourself online can be a pretty telling expression of your identity, who you really are and this is why some people choose to keep their social media presence hidden. “Sometimes I want to put content out into the world without necessarily letting just anyone see me”. I don’t want to be left feeling vulnerable. ” If that makes any sense.

Fact: Every Cell in your body responds to your thyroid hormones. These hormones have a direct impact on every major system in your body.
Hypothyroidism is a consequence of actions taken. It is a combination of sequences that you allowed to take place to get you to this point in your life. Yes, I am pointing the finger at you. I am pointing the finger at myself. I am so busy of “not being aware” and ” grabbing what is easy” that I’ve allowed this to happen. There is this big lie that we all got stuck in. Listen to me when I say there’s a major disconnect between what YOU believe to be healthy foods and what research tells us is healthy. In fact, many of the health foods today that people go out of their way to eat daily are extremely thyroid suppressive.
As diseases go, you would think that it would be a cinch to diagnose and pretty straightforward to treat. Each of us are unique individuals with different sensitivities. None of has the same exact routine as far as what foods we eat, what chemicals we are exposed to and what medications we take but yet we all are similar when it comes to our thyroids not working properly.
First, please give me a moment to explain how the thyroid works.
Hypothyroidism means your thyroid is not making enough thyroid hormone. Your thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland in the front of your throat. It makes the hormones that control the way your body uses energy. Basically, our thyroid hormone tells all the cells in our bodies how busy they should be.
Most doctors will prescribe you a synthetic version of thyroid hormone called Synthroid (levothyroxine). First introduced in 1959, Synthroid is the third most frequently prescribed drugs in the United States. For the sixty years prior to Synthroid, the standard treatment was a desiccated (dried) concentrate of pig thyroid, which remains popular today, although not nearly as popular as its successor per Robert Rountree, M.D., who is a physician in private practice and an Herb Research Foundation advisory board member.
How were you diagnosed? Did your doctor just perform a simple TSH test and it showed that you had an elevated presence of thyroid stimulating hormone in your blood?
TSH is made in the pituitary, a small gland near the center of the brain. When the thyroid gland doesn’t make enough T4, the pituitary increases its production of TSH in an attempt to make the gland work harder. In other words, thyroid hormone production is regulated by a simple negative feedback loop. When a diseased gland fails to make enough T4, the quick and easy solution is to replace it with a synthetic version. Per Robert Rountree, M.D., who is a physician in private practice and an Herb Research Foundation advisory board member.
Hold on. Don’t be so quick to start taking that synthetic version of T4 only medication. Synthetics like thyroxine will eventually destroy the thyroid where you will have to be on some form of thyroid medication for the rest of your life. Also, everything that glitters isn’t gold. There isn’t a one size fits all solution to hypothyroidism. This is why you have to work with your doctor. Requests a full thyroid panel which should at least include these 6 key thyroid labs that are listed below. Some of us, like I need T3 along with our T4 medication because our T4 isn’t converting into a must needed hormone called T3. This is why most people have partial improvements. Also, the conversion to T3 is affected by nutritional deficiencies such as low selenium, inadequate omega-3 fatty acids, low zinc, chemicals from the environment, or by stress. is your head spinning yet with all this information!
A full thyroid panel for hypothyroidism should at least include these 6 key thyroid lab tests:
TSH
Free T4
Free T3
Reverse T3
Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies
Thyroglobulin Antibodies
They are hidden endocrine disruptors and are very tricky chemicals that play havoc on our bodies. “We are all routinely exposed to endocrine disruptors, and this has the potential to significantly harm the health of our youth,” said Renee Sharp, EWG’s director of research. “It’s important to do what we can to avoid them, but at the same time we can’t shop our way out of the problem. We need to have a real chemical policy reform.” The longer the length of ingredients on your food label means how much more unhealthy it is for you to consume. When an item contains a host of ingredients that most likely you cant even pronounce or remember to spell you can bet your lucky dollar that the natural nutrients are long gone. These highly processed frank n foods are very difficult for the body to break down and some of the chemicals will become stored in your body.
I haven’t used store bought toothpaste in years. I didn’t give up brushing my teeth although sometimes I would like to create my very own six foot “personal space bubble.” My teeth are beautifully white and my breath is always fresh. After being diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I started researching and was amazed at the things we willingly without even thinking put in or on our bodies that are very harmful to us. I started to take a closer look at all the labels of EVERYTHING and decided that I needed to divorce my store bought toothpaste.
Most of us just focus on diet in an effort to achieve overall better health, along with proper supplements and working out. Oral health is connected with the rest of the body and it’s easy to forget where the first step of digestion occurs: Yes, in the mouth!
Why would you continue to use toothpastes that include sodium lauryl phosphate, triclosan, glycerin, fluoride, and other potentially harmful chemicals? Just look at the warning labels on a standard tube of toothpaste!
Did you know that your teeth are living and spongy. The foods we eat, the commercial toothpastes, medications and chemicals from drinks all can suck out the minerals from the teeth causing weakened enamel and leaving us more susceptible to decay and breakdown. I was on a new mission to keep my teeth healthy by using the absolute necessary and needed trace minerals to maintain the upmost dental health plus find a solution that wasn’t abrasive, while gently polishing them , and detoxifies while it refreshes. Is there such a thing? I did know that my long history with Mr. Store bought toothpaste were over. Did you know that a tooth powder could whiten your teeth, remove plaque, and not contain any harmful chemicals or questionable additives?
Sorry, Mr. Toothpaste. I thought we were great together but actually your sucking the life out of me. So, It’s not me. It’s you, and here’s why:
Did you know that fluoride was Once Prescribed as an Anti-Thyroid Drug? Up through the 1950s, doctors in Europe and South America prescribed fluoride to reduce thyroid function in patients with over-active thyroids (hyperthyroidism). (Merck Index 1968). If you haven’t already, you should invest in a water filtration system to rid your tap water of fluoride. Do we really know how safe tap water is? Look at the recent events in Flint Michigan! Can you really trust the water companies? Although fluoride concentrations in tap water are relatively low and are considered “safe” for human consumption, it is not. Fluoride has long-term neurological and hormonal affects. Fluoride is not an essential nutrient. It is also that chemical that is commonly found in most toothpaste brands. There is clear evidence that, when ingested at high doses, fluoride causes neurotoxicity. Fluoride also is understood to interfere with the absorption of iodine, possibly leading to an iodine deficiency and ultimately hypothyroidism. To benefit your health, use fluoride free tooth or make your own tooth paste. Get a good water filtration system and purchase a filter for your shower head. We use a British Berkefeld.
Glycerin is used in almost all toothpastes because it helps create a pasty texture and prevents it from drying out. Although it’s non-toxic it coats the teeth just enough to that prevents normal tooth remineralization. Remineralization is a whole-body process and in order for it to happen, the body must have adequate levels of certain nutrients, especially fat soluble vitamins and certain minerals. If you want to stop and reverse Tooth Decay you must add minerals in your diet, add plenty of fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K), and your body must be able to absorb vital nutrients. You certainly can’t do this by having a coat on your teeth that will prevent absorption.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is a foaming agent and detergent that is commonly used in toothpaste, shampoo, and other products such as degreaser for car engines. SLS is an estrogen mimicker. It also increases gum inflammation and mouth ulcers. According to a study conducted the Department of Oral Surgery & Oral Medicine in Oslo, Norway, individuals who used a toothpaste containing SLS suffered from more ulcers (canker sores) than those who used an SLS-free toothpaste.
Sweeteners: Sorbitol, sodium saccharin and other artificial sweeteners are often used in toothpaste to improve taste, even though there is no evidence that these sweeteners are beneficial (or even safe) for use in the mouth. Xylitol has shown some positive benefits for oral health in some studies, but it remains a controversial ingredient in toothpaste.
Triclosan: A chemical used in antibacterial soaps and products. Triclosan was recently found to affect proper heart function in a study at University of California Davis and the FDA is currently re-evaluating it for safety in human use.
Let’s not forget to mention that many toothpastes also contain artificial colors/dyes or synthetic flavors. I must admit there are several good natural toothpastes out there and I have tried some of them not all but with my tight budget I will make them for pennies on the dollar. My favorite way to brush my teeth is by using tooth powder. Yes, you read this right. Tooth Powder. Here is my recipe that I use. Feel free to adjust the ingredient’s based on your own needs. If you have sensitive teeth you might want to skip the baking soda and salt until you can get use to it.
¾ teaspoons activated charcoal – optional (I open up about 4 capsules of this brand to add in)
Directions
Using a stainless steel or plastic spoon, mix all ingredients in a clean glass jar. To use, add a little to a wet toothbrush and brush as normal.
Bentonite Clay
Bentonite clay is a gentle cleanser that is rich in minerals which support tooth remineralization. It’s detoxifiying properties help freshen breath and fight gum disease, while it’s adsorptive properties help remove stains from teeth.
Baking soda is a mild abrasive tooth polish that helps mechanically remove stains while other ingredients such as clay and activated charcoal draw them out. It also helps freshen breath.
Sea Salt
Unrefined sea salts such as this one contain 60+ trace minerals that aid in tooth remineralization. Salt is also highly antiseptic, which helps keep bacteria in check.
Herb & Spices
Spices and herbs such as clove powder, ground cinnamon, and ground mint add flavoring, but they also have astringent properties that support gum health.
Activated carbon – is made by processing charcoal with oxygen and either calcium chloride or zinc chloride. It was used medicinally by both Hippocrates and the ancient Egyptians, and it is still the poison remedy of choice in modern day emergency rooms. Why? Because it’s highly adsorptive, which in plain English means it attracts substances to its surface like a magnet. Like absorptive substances which work like a sponge, adsorptive materials bind with certain compounds and prevent our bodies from using them.
If your not so hip on using powdered tooth then here are some more all natural recipes.

This is a must read powerful book. The Fluoride Deception documents a powerful connection between big corporations, the U.S. military, and the historic reassurances of fluoride safety provided by the nation’s public health establishment. The Fluoride Deception reads like a thriller, but one supported by two hundred pages of source notes, years of investigative reporting, scores of scientist interviews, and archival research in places such as the newly opened files of the Manhattan Project and the Atomic Energy Commission. The book is nothing less than an exhumation of one of the great secret narratives of the industrial era: how a grim workplace poison and the most damaging environmental pollutant of the cold war was added to our drinking water and toothpaste.
FACT: The number of people suffering from hypothyroidism continues to rise each year. Levothyroxine is the 4th highest selling drug in the U.S.
It seems the current medical industry has been abducted by the pharmaceutical industry. In our society we have become so blinded by the Big Pharma propaganda. Once you are labeled with a disease or a condition most of the medications prescribed have horrible side effects and can lead to other issues but in reality these medications only mask the real issue at hand.
“Our prescription drugs are the third leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer. Our drugs kill around 200,000 people in America every year, and half of these people die while they do what their doctors told them—so they die because of the side-effects,” said Dr. Gotzsche in his recent interview. “The other half die because of errors—and it’s often the doctors that make the errors because any drug may come with 20, 30 or 40 warnings, contraindications, precautions…and then the patients die.”
NSAIDs as an example of only one group of medications, are fatally toxic to thousands of people each year by damaging joints, lungs, kidneys, eyes, hearts, and intestines and they are covered by insurance companies.
This should come to you as no surprise but some physicians actually receive compensation from the drug industry aka “Big Pharma”. (Choudhry, JAMA 2002; 287: 612-617). Also, our part of the government that is in charge of approving drugs called the FDA has advisers with financial ties (and is heavily lobbied by) the very drug industry that is seeking its approval. And as the New England Journal of Medicine and Journal of the American Medical Association warm, even the hired clinical investigators for new drugs may have their price. ‘ Did you know that 70 percent of Americans are taking prescription drugs?
Even some of our most prestigious journals publish research based on falsified studies, according to Charles Seife, a journalism professor whose class spent a semester trying to figure out why the data doesn’t get corrected once research fraud comes to light. “As a result,” Seife writes, “Nobody ever finds out which data is bogus, which experiments are tainted, and which drugs might be on the market under false pretenses.”. Is Big Pharma America’s New Mafia?
Light Bulb Moment: Why can’t we cure what ails us without pharmaceuticals?
Now, if you read anything in this blog make sure you hear me when I say, ” Don’t stop taking your medications”. You need to work with a doctor ,be monitored and follow their instructions. Your body might need those prescriptions and if you suddenly stop taking them, it might kill you. Therefore, you need to closely work with a Certified Naturopath Doctor in your area.
Throughout history medical science has sometimes been proven to not be that true in their “research” . These words like case studies, credible scientific evidence, scientifically tested, scientific experiments and scientifically proven facts are all merely “theories” until they are proven wrong.
· Bloodletting was once proven to cure most illnesses. Now it is considered totally ineffective.
· Margarine was considered much healthier than butter. Now research suggests that the exact opposite is true.
· Eggs were considered very bad because of high cholesterol. Now research suggests that they are not bad at all, and they are actually healthy for the body.
· Chocolate and oily foods were touted to be a cause of acne. Now research suggest s that they do not contribute in any way to acne.
· Medical doctors touted that baby formula was much better than breast milk for children. Now the exact opposite is shown to be true.
· Milk was recommended for coating the stomach and alleviating stomach ulcers. Now it is discouraged and has been found to aggravate ulcers.
· Medical science stat ed that diet had absolutely no effect on disease or illness. Now we are told t hat diet has a huge effect on the prevention and cause of disease.
· Medical science once had scientific evidence that the removing of tonsils and appendix improved health and should be done to virtually everyone. Now the medical community has reversed that theory.
· Children with asthma were told to stay in enclosed pool areas because the humidity was good for their asthmatic condition. Now research suggests that the chlorine in the air from the pools actually aggravates and makes the asthma worse.
· The most obvious example of all is the fact that there are thousands of drugs that have been approved by the FDA because they were scientifically proven to cure or prevent disease, in addition to having been touted as safe. Then, years later, they have been taken off the market because they had been newly proven to either not cure or prevent those diseases as
originally thought, or those drugs were found to have such terribly adverse side effects that they are simply too dangerous for people to use.
16 Quotes On Poisons… I mean those magic Drugs our medical quacks prescribe.
1. “The cause of most disease is in the poisonous drugs physicians superstitiously give in order to effect a cure.” Charles E. Page, M.D.
2. “The greatest part of all chronic disease is created by the suppression of acute disease by drug poisoning.” Henry Lindlahr, M.D.
3. “Every educated physician knows that most diseases are not appreciably helped by medicine.” Richard C. Cabot, M.D. (Mass. Gen.Hospital)
4. “Medicines are of subordinate importance because of their very nature they can only work symptomatically.” Hans Kusche, M.D.
5. “If all the medicine in the world were thrown into the sea, it would be bad for the fish and good for humanity” O.W. Holmes, (Prof. of Med. Harvard University)
6. “Drug medications consists in employing, as remedies for disease, those things which produce disease in well persons. Its materia medica is simply a lot of drugs or chemicals or dye-stuffs in a word poisons. All are incompatible with vital matter; all produce disease when brought in contact in any manner with the living; all are poisons.” R.T. TraIl, M.D., in a two and one half hour lecture to members of congress and the medical profession, delivered at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C.
7. “Drugs never cure disease. They merely hush the voice of nature’s protest, and pull down the danger signals she erects along the pathway of transgression. Any poison taken into the system has to be reckoned with later on even though it palliates present symptoms. Pain may disappear, but the patient is left in a worse condition, though unconscious of it at the time.” Daniel. H. Kress, M.D.
8. “Every drug increases and complicates the patients condition.” Robert Henderson, M.D.
9. “Medicine is only palliative, for back of disease lies the cause, and this cause no drug can reach.” Wier Mitchel, M.D.
10. “The person who takes medicine must recover twice, once from the disease and once from the medicine.” William Osler, M.D.
11. “Medical practice has neither philosophy nor common sense to recommend it. In sickness the body is already loaded with impurities. By taking drug – medicines more impurities are added, thereby the case is further embarrassed and harder to cure.” Elmer Lee, M.D., Past Vice President, Academy of Medicine.
12. “Our figures show approximately four and one half million hospital admissions annually due to the adverse reactions to drugs. Further, the average hospital patient has as much as thirty percent chance, depending how long he is in, of doubling his stay due to adverse drug reactions.” Milton Silverman, M.D. (Professor of Pharmacology, University of California)
13. “Why would a patient swallow a poison because he is ill, or take that which would make a well man sick.” L.F. Kebler, M.D.
14. “What hope is there for medical science to ever become a true science when the entire structure of medical knowledge is built around the idea that there is an entity called disease which can be expelled when the right drug is found?” John H. Tilden, M.D.
15. “The necessity of teaching mankind not to take drugs and medicines, is a duty incumbent upon all who know their uncertainty and injurious effects; and the time is not far distant when the drug system will be abandoned.” Charles Armbruster, M. D.
16. “We are prone to thinking of drug abuse in terms of the male population and illicit drugs such as heroin, cocaine, and marijuana. It may surprise you to learn that a greater problem exists with millions of women dependent on legal prescription drugs.” Robert Mendelsohn, M.D
Are you starting to see my point?
The root cause of nearly all diseases can be linked to an overload of toxins and chemicals accumulating inside your body. Most people ignore the toxic overload that is taking a toll on their bodies. Western medicine teaches us that almost all illnesses are caused by germs or genetics. So the money making solution is to slap a name on it. Label each disease (over 10,000 of them) and then have us believe that each one can be remedied by surgery or drugs.
Think about it this– fish can’t live in toxic water, no matter how fancy the food is that you’re feeding them.
I know, there is so much information overload that most people are confused as to where to start. You can start by taking ownership of your health. I wanted you to understand or get a idea of how everything has a part to play in your body. I am on a path to help you, lead you and inform you through this terrible illness. Being diagnosed with hypothyroidism isn’t just here take this pill and it will fix your issues. Hypothyroidism has a root cause. Once you start addressing the root of your problems then your body can start healing itself. Your body is an awesome design but there is a complex balance between everything. It’s a domino affect. If you have something in your body that is overworked it will cause a major shift in your body. Don’t worry the good news is it can be healed.
1.Your Diet- avoid Gluten, Soy and start adding foods rich in iodine.
2.Stress-
Stress is one of the worst thyroid offenders, as your thyroid function is intimately tied to your adrenal function, which in turn is intimately affected by how you handle stress.
Many of us are under chronic stress, which results in increased adrenalin and cortisol levels, and elevated cortisol has a negative impact on thyroid function. Thyroid hormone levels drop during stress, while you actually need more thyroid hormones during stressful times.
When stress becomes chronic, the flood of stress chemicals (adrenalin and cortisol) produced by your adrenal glands interferes with thyroid hormones and can contribute to obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, unstable blood sugar, and more. A prolonged stress response can lead to adrenal exhaustion (also known as adrenal fatigue), which is often found alongside thyroid disease
3.Environmental Chemicals-Your thyroid hormones are very vulnerable to chemicals in the environment.

The latest craze seems to be collagen. As we age, our ability to produce collagen diminishes. The beauty industry has hyped up collagen so much that I really think they want us to believe that is is the next best thing to the fountain of youth. You’ve probably heard about how collagen keeps our skin elastic and plump looking. Collagen is one of the primary structural elements of skin, so when our bodies ability to produce collagen diminishes over age its only ideal to help it when it cant create enough on its own.
I find collagen pretty gross. Most collagen supplements are produced from the bones, skin, and connective tissue of animals, including cattle, fish, horses, pigs, or rabbits. The idea of drinking bones+ connective tissue from dead animals doesn’t appeal to me at all. Even if they say its from “grass-fed animals”. YUCK! I do a ton of research about products like vitamins and nutritional supplements trying to be a wise health consumer. I find it very shocking that many supplements contain several types of fillers + ‘chemically’ or GM derived ingredients and some have been known to be actually dangerously ‘unhealthy’ for long term consumption.
Although collagen supplements or treatments may increase your bodies collagen production and may keep your skin looking fresh and youthful. There’s one little problem: indigestible collagen is being touted as a miracle cure for skin and signs of aging, without much evidence to back up these claims. Therefore , consuming the dried up bones from dead animals doesn’t necessarily mean collagen will increase in your skin.
There are other ways, that you can boost your collagen production – and they don’t involve boiled animal parts.
I prefer to get COLLAGEN made from fish the brand I use is a Marine based Collagen and it is sourced from the scales of wild-caught, non-GMO Red Snapper , wild-caught in the Pacific Ocean near Hawaii using sustainable harvesting instead of being sourced from the hides of pasture-raised, grass-fed bovine.
Other nutrients that support collagen formation include:
+ Vitamin C: found in oranges, strawberries, peppers, and broccoli
+ Copper: mostly found in nuts
+ Vitamin A: found in plant foods as beta-carotene
+ Proline: found in egg whites, cheese, soy, and cabbage
+ Anthocyanidins: found in blackberries, blueberries, cherries and raspberries
Another smart way to support collagen production is to eat fruits and vegetables that contain vitamin C. It’s vital in the collagen production process.
Citrus fruits: lemons and oranges both contain about 53 mg per 100 grams
Broccoli: 89.2 mg per 100 grams( limit your broccoli with hypothyroidism. cooker 2x servings per week)
Papaya: 60.9 mg per 100 grams
Kiwi fruit: 92.7 mg per 100 grams
Kale: 80 mg per cup ( limit your kale with hypothyroidism. cooker 2x servings per week)
Red peppers: 95 mg per half cup
The RDA for vitamin C is 90 mg/day for men and 75 mg/day for women, so eating any of the above foods will set you on the right track.

for years I’ve been writing blogs , books and trying to educate those who are on a similar path as mine with hypothyroidism. Lately, there’s been something very deep nudging at my very core screaming to come out. I finally decided to let it seep out of my fingertips into this blog. When I began writing about hypothyroidism, I knew it was a uncharted territory. My mindset was to search the truth, share my experiences and write compelling articles. The more I write, the more polished I become to develop my palate and skill-set. I have found something that I deeply care about and its worth every-bit of cherishing.
While I am grateful for every reader, we may not always agree but keep one thing in mind, you don’t own me, you don’t pay me and you certainly won’t have control over my life. You also don’t have to read my work and you can keep scrolling right along. If you want to rant against my premised writings or post a rebuttal, I say, go for it.
I write from the heart and share my truth. No one has been “forced” to read me.
I’ve realized that the people who get angry about the content that I write will never buy books, anyway. You must analyze your own truths and form your own in idea’s.
This Entitlement Mentality that our society has created is a load of crock. What I express in my blogs are purely my views and opinions from the research and readings that I’ve done. I do not claim to have the absolute entire truth; this is simply what I have concluded at this moment in my life. You can keep your thoughtless one-sided opinions because you will gain no power with me. In the end, you will only create anger and frustration within yourself. Maybe something happened in your childhood where you feel the need to lash out and try to gain some sort of power over people with your hurtful words and rants. At some point, I don’t know where you thought it was okay to blame me for your mishaps but you need to take personal responsibility for your shit.
As each passing day goes, I continue to learn. As each passing day goes, I continue to grow.
We all have our very own skills and talents that we have to offer the world. I encourage you to find yours and stop being ugly to others because you are not where you want to be in life.
Let’s get on thing straight.
I’m not trying to sell your health. I am trying to open your eyes and give you a purpose to start being healthy.
There is no such thing as something for nothing. So many people don’t listen to their bodies. If you are constantly putting the wrong gas in your car is will start to eventually break down. Your body is the same way. One of the most common failure is the habit of quitting. Don’t allow this type of failure of defeat to trick you into quitting. You are worth great health. You have the abundance of good health within your reach.
Being healthy is a state of mind. When you start to realize that the food you eat, the products you use and the way you live all talk to your DNA. Once you realize that you have a choice to change and you want to change you will change. You will start to read labels, you will think about what you’re eating, how it was made and will it benefit your body.
Impossible? No! Not at all.
Being healthy does come from those with a healthy conscious. You and you alone must decide whether or not good health is important. Is good health worth the effort? You see we are wiping ourselves out. It seems with all the bad choices we are ultimately preparing ourselves for our own final destruction’s. We often do choose badly but it’s our choice to do so. The diet industry is a load of bullshit. Eat less, exercise more doesn’t work. None of us should be on the same eating plan.
Why? We are all different.
Many Blessings,
Audrey-xoxo
