The Web of Deception in Modern American Traditions

Humans are on a data collection mission, sending information back to the source. You have the power of the creator; as above, so below. The power of creation is already inside of you. We are co-creators in our own reality. Different belief systems are essentially the same; we are all trying to understand what this is, who we are, what the world is, and what reality is. We’re just trying to understand our purpose. The main issue is we all come from different places and paths.

This book is unlike any you have ever read, or possibly ever will. Its pages present a truly dramatic—and largely untold—story! The identifying marks of the true Church, and the facts of history recorded here, are more compelling than any novel. This volume barely begins to cover what can be known about the true people of God.

The person who encounters and comes to understand the record of the true Church of God is left stunned—permanently changed by the experiences, learning, suffering, conviction, and sheer determination of its figures—great and small. Once you start reading this book, you may find it difficult to put down. And when you have completed it, you will never again view the history of ordinary, mundane events—or even current events—the same! This journey leads to a single Church still in existence today, inseparable from the story of its history.

One of Satan’s names is Destroyer (Rev. 9:11). Nimrod/Saturn/Molech/Baal, like Satan, is the fire god who destroys and devours little children. We must now look more closely at who this biblical figure, Nimrod, was. We have already seen him as one of history’s original false gods, but what else can be learned?

Genesis 10:9 says of Nimrod, “He was a mighty hunter before [in place of] the LORD.” He actually tried to replace God.

The famous Jewish historian, Josephus, records in Antiquities important evidence of Nimrod’s role in the post-flood world. Notice: “He also gradually changed the government into tyranny…He [Nimrod] also said he would be revenged on God, if He should have a mind to drown the world again; for that he would build a tower too high for the waters to be able to reach…Now the multitude were very ready to follow the determination of Nimrod, and to esteem it a piece of cowardice to submit to God” (Bk. I, Ch. IV, sec. 2, 3).

Under many names, mankind’s earliest and perhaps greatest rebel has been worshipped throughout false religion. Ancient Israel kept falling into serving the many false gods that Nimrod represented. Ezekiel 8:13-14 records a picture of the women of Israel “weeping for Tammuz.” This Tammuz (the god of fire) was considered to be Nimrod and the etymology of the word itself is fascinating. Tam means “to make perfect” and muz “fire.” The meaning is clear in light of what we have already learned. Incidentally, in the Iraqi-Kuwaiti Desert Storm War, Saddam Hussein even named one of his missiles the “Tammuz.” He certainly understood that its meaning included fire.

Using things to possess us—music, TV, pagan rituals (Christmas, Easter, etc.)—removes God so a demon can enter. This book will explore the future of humankind, including topics like the pineal gland, med beds, replicators, free energy, stargates, and antigravity. “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” A lack of knowledge is dangerous because it means you are in a fight with no weapons and no vision. We wrestle against principalities.

Two Churches: The Great Switch

In the New Testament, we see two very different churches. One is the true Church that Jesus built, described as the bride of Christ, who stays away from worldly customs to remain pure for His return. However, the New Testament also foretold that false teachers would infiltrate and take over the church organization. True Christians, needing to obey God, often had to leave their original congregations. This true Church, therefore, became a “little flock,” scattered and without political power.

History has largely ignored this small, persecuted Church, but Christ promised to always be with it and that “the gates of hell [the grave] shall not prevail against it” (Matt. 16:18). Despite having to scatter for survival (Acts 8:1; Dan. 12:7), Christ has kept His promise, empowering and strengthening it through His Spirit. Even amid severe persecution and martyrdom by larger, popular churches seeking to destroy it, a remnant has persisted for nearly 2,000 years, continuing to “keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus” (Rev. 14:12).

God has always commanded His Church not to celebrate pagan festivals, and this small Church has obeyed. Revelation 12 provides a brief history, including God’s promise to protect it during future world punishments.

Paul warned the Thessalonians that “the mystery of iniquity [lawlessness] does already work” (II Thes. 2:7). This influence was present within the true Church just twenty years after Christ established it in 31 AD. It was the Chaldean Mystery, embodied in Christmas and Easter—its two greatest festivals. The arrival of these false pagan celebrations often forced true Christians to flee.

This pattern of departure is why this text had to be written. Since Herbert W. Armstrong’s death (leader of the Church of God from 1934 to 1986), the prophesied “falling away” (apostasia, meaning “to defect from truth”) before Christ’s return (II Thes. 2:1-3) has occurred. Many of Armstrong’s writings are no longer available and have been rewritten by The Restored Church of God.

Thus, the true Church organization described earlier has merged with the worldly church founded on lawlessness. Over time, this church, centered in Rome, adopted more pagan doctrines and practices until the only difference between it and pagan religion was the use of Jesus Christ’s name. This is how Easter replaced the true Christian Passover.

Today’s false religious system masquerades as “Christianity,” with all its organizations having adopted pagan practices…..
