Why Are My Eyebrows Becoming Thinner—and What to Do About It

Eyebrows are one of women’s most prominent facial features because of the many functions they perform. They help accentuate the eyes, shape the face, and play a powerful role in communication. 

As we get older, gray hairs and crow’s feet aren’t the only thing we have to look forward to . Our eye brows can show signs of aging, too.

This seems to happened so gradual that you barely even notice it happening. Skimpy eyes brows seem make us look older that what we are and our faces look undefined and tired.

I’ve never been blessed with thick full eyebrows.  But in the last few years around the age of 40, I noticed them thinning and by age 48 they were practically non-existent. So, I decided to go on a quest to research why and possible solutions.

During my research I found out there are many reasons that could possibly play a part. For example abrupt hormone changes like postpartum and menopause. Another common one is it a symptom of a thyroid deficiency. Nutritional deficiencies can cause sparse brows. Genetics may also dictate the age you’ll start to notice a change to your brows.

A 2011 study on Science Direct, a platform for peer-reviewed research, found that a lack of vitamin A can hinder the production of sebum, which is essential for moisturizing hair and promoting its growth.

Overgrooming could also make all of these worse. “We also see thinning eyebrows, especially in women, as a result of too much tweezing or waxing earlier in life. If the hair follicles suffer trauma and die out as a result, a permanent thinning of the eyebrows can occur,” says New York City–based board-certified dermatologist Judith Hellman, M.D.

So, what is going on? Just as the hair follicles on your scalp grow thinner and finer hair as you get older, so too, can the follicles above your eyes, said dermatologist Dr Sejal Shah, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology

Actually, eyebrow hair loss is a fairly common occurrence. It can be due to any number of reasons, ranging from hormonal changes or nutritional deficiencies to an infection, skin condition, stress, or even an overactive immune system that’s attacking the hair follicles. This type of hair loss has a number of different possible treatments, depending on the cause.

Getting to the Source of Eyebrow Hair Loss

Specific causes for eyebrow hair loss include:

  • Alopecia areata – The same autoimmune disease that is oftentimes responsible for scalp hair loss can also affect your eyebrows. In this case, your immune system mistakenly targets and attacks your eyebrow follicles, thereby slowing or halting eyebrow hair production.
  • Nutritional deficiencies – Your body requires a healthy balance of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. Since some of these nutrients sustain and influence hair growth, a lack in any of them could result in hair loss. For example, a deficiency of vitamins C, E, B-12, D, iron, cysteine, and/or omega-3 fatty acids could trigger hair loss, including in the eyebrows.
  • Dermatitis – Skin conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis, can interfere with proper hair growth. Any type of dermatitis can block hair from growing hair follicles normally.
  • Thyroid disease – The thyroid gland, located in the front of the neck, produces hormones that regulate your metabolism. When it produces too much or too little of a hormone, your body’s normal processes – including hair growth – can be disrupted.
  • Excessive stress or anxiety – Psychological issues are known to contribute to eyebrow hair loss. If you have recently experienced a traumatic event or major lifestyle change, this may be the root cause.
  • Telogen effluvium (TE) – This refers to a temporary, but dramatic, loss of hair that happens when your normal hair growth cycle is interrupted. This can be due to stress, changes in your diet, medications, hormonal or other changes in your body chemistry.
  • Overplucking – This practice creates minor trauma to the follicle, which can result in the hair no longer growing in that spot.
  • Scar tissue – can be the result of trauma, burns (chemical or thermal) and skin conditions typically involving problems with the immune system attacking the body’s own tissues.
  • Aging – Generally starting in our 40s, as levels of estrogen in women and testosterone in men dwindle, both genders may start to experience thinning of hair on the scalp and in the eyebrows.
  • Chemotherapy – Chemo is specifically designed to affect all rapidly dividing cells, including hair follicles. Therefore, chemotherapy can stifle hair production in the brows.

So what’s a 40+ women to do about disappearing eyebrow dilemma? How can she bring her face back to life?

  There are certainly a ton of products on the market and online tutorials.

1. Take care when waxing, plucking, and threading.

“The trauma inflicted on hair follicles during waxing, tweezing, and threading can lead to permanent follicular damage,” explains Dr. Umar. “Women who grew up in the height of the ’90s overplucked, pencil-thin brow trend have begun to notice the difficulty in growing thicker eyebrows after years of this habit.”

2. Fake fuller brows with finesse.

“The biggest mistake I see is people being too heavy handed with their eyebrow products,” says Megan Studabaker, a registered nurse and owner of Finespun Brow Design in Scottsdale, Arizona. “I recommend applying products in hair-like strokes, versus just filling in with powder because it often gets smeared and messy which isn’t achieving the polished look you are going for.”

She recommends using a tinted eyebrow gel as a finishing step. “It’s relatively foolproof and comes in a tube like mascara,” Studabaker says. “Brush your hairs into shape to keep them in place and you can achieve more definition by choosing a gel with a tint.”

3. Try microblading for a more permanent solution.

Microblading is a semipermanent way to fill in brows that looks more natural than permanent makeup or tattooing. “Microblading differs from tattooing and the traditional form of permanent makeup in that it is typically done by hand versus a machine and doesn’t go as deep into the skin,” explains Studabaker. “In the past, tattooing and traditional permanent makeup usually resulted in a solid line and the color could change significantly with time.”

The process takes about two hours to complete, but you’ll need to go in for a touch up about once a year after the initial appointment (and possibly a second follow-up). Microblading costs between $500 and $1,000, and the results should last for one to three years. Your natural brow hair will continue to grow, but you likely won’t need to get waxed as often. “Most people find their regular maintenance decreased because they have the shape they want after microblading,” Studabaker says.

I don’t know where to start

Hang in there. This wont happen overnight.

Cleaning products are necessary for maintaining attractive and healthful conditions in the home and workplace. In addition to the obvious aesthetic benefits of cleaning, the removal of dust, allergens, and infectious agents is crucial to maintaining a healthful indoor environment.

The real reality is we are damaging our DNA and we are changing our genetic makeup for future generations. Eighty percent of the common chemicals that are used daily in this country, we know almost nothing about. Brain development is the “most complete and most rapid during the first nine months, prenatally,” she said. During that time, neural connections and pathways are being developed.

Though the group hopes to come up with regulatory recommendations to reduce this toxic burden, there are some simple things that individuals can do to reduce their exposure.
 
Children exposed to higher levels of these pesticides have been found to have higher rates of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder.
 
Most products have a  warning label that is typed in bold “Keep Out of Reach of Children”.  As consumers, we believe that if our children don’t ingest these products they will not be harmed by them. Scientists at Norway’s University of Bergen tracked 6,000 people, with an average age of 34 at the time of enrollment in the study, who used the cleaning products over a period of two decades, according to the research published in the American Thoracic Society’s American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.

They found that lung function decline in women who regularly used the products, such as those who worked as cleaners, was equivalent over the period to those with a 20-cigarette daily smoking habit.

The results follow a study by French scientists in September 2017 that found nurses who used disinfectants to clean surfaces at least once a week had a 24 percent to 32 percent increased risk of developing lung disease.

It’s not enough to be aware of all the outdoor chemicals that we are exposed to everyday but inside our homes we can have more power and control. Instead start to begin to use products that don’t pollute our very own bodies. We must read labels, make our own products and do our own research. I can’t stress this enough. We must take a stand for our health. Stop using commercial products that are laced with unknown and harmful body damaging products.

Bathroom Cleaner

    3 tsp baking soda

    1 TBSP of washing soda (optional)

     8 oz. very hot water

    1 TBSP Sal Suds

    About 1 cup room temperature water

    ¼ tsp lemon essential oil

    ½ tsp orange essential oil

    10 drops cinnamon leaf essential oil

    ¼ tsp clove essential oil

    OR 1 tsp of a “thieves” essential oil instead of these other blends

    16 oz. glass spray bottle

   Pour the baking soda, washing soda and hot water in the spray bottle, then the hot water. Close the lid on the bottle, and shake well until the powder dissolves. Remove the cap and then add the Sal Suds and essential oils. Fill the remainder of the bottle with water until the bottle is almost full, making sure to leave room for the sprayer lid. Give it another shake to combine the mixture and spray on the area you want to clean.  Always use a clean cloth or sponge when cleaning.

   Tub & Tile Cleaner

   1 /4 cup baking soda

    1/4 cup lemon juice

  Or 10 drops of lemon essential oil

    3 Tablespoons Epsom salt

    3 Tablespoons Sal Suds or Castile liquid soap

    1/2 cup white vinegar

   Pour the vinegar into the bottle, followed by the baking soda and Epsom salt. Shake the bottle to combine the ingredients. Add the Sal suds gently shaking the bottle to combine. Mix all ingredients in a bottle with a sealable lid.

Scrub and then rinse with water and wet clean rag.

Hard water Stain Remover

1 cup of Epsom salt

 1/2 cup of baking soda

1/4 cup of Sal suds

½ cup warm water

    Pour the warm water into the bottle, followed by the baking soda and Epsom salt. Shake the bottle to combine the ingredients. Add the Sal suds gently shaking the bottle to combine. Scrub and then rinse with water and wet clean rag.

Soap scum and residue cleaner

    1 1/2 cups baking soda

    1/2 cup natural liquid castile soap

    1/2 cup water

    2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar

Pour the warm water into the bottle, followed by the baking soda and Epsom salt. Shake the bottle to combine the ingredients. Add the Sal suds gently shaking the bottle to combine. Put a small amount of this mixture onto a sponge, wash the surface, and then rinse well. 

 Homemade Grout Cleaner

1/2 cup of baking soda

 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide

 1 teaspoon of Sal Suds

½ cup warm water

    Pour the warm water into the bottle, followed by the baking soda. Allow the baking soda to dissolve. Next add the peroxide. Shake the bottle to combine the ingredients. Add the Sal suds gently shaking the bottle to combine.  Put a small amount of this mixture onto a sponge, wash the surface, and then rinse well.

 

Scented Toilet Paper Rolls

This is a cool DIY bathroom trick. Place a few drops of essential oils onto the inside of your toilet paper roll. Every time you unravel the roll, the beautiful scents will rejuvenate your bathroom!

Natural scouring cream

    1/2 cup baking soda

    18 drops of Thieves oil

    2 1/2 teaspoons liquid castile soap or Sal Suds

Mix all ingredients in a bowl lastly adding the essential oil and it will form a paste.  Put a small amount of this mixture onto a sponge, wash the surface, and then rinse well.

Non-abrasive soft scrubber

    1/4 cup baking soda

    1 teaspoon liquid castile soap or Sal Suds

    1/2 teaspoon lemon essential oil

Mix the baking soda with just enough soap to form a creamy paste. Add the lemon oil and combine well. Put a small amount of this mixture onto a sponge, wash the surface, and then rinse well.

Toilet Bowl Cleaner with hydrogen peroxide

        1/4 to 1/2 cup Hydrogen Peroxide

    1 cup Baking Soda

    3 – 5 drops Essential Oils (Lemon, Lavender, Tea Tree, thieves or Clove are great choices to disinfect and freshen the air)

1/2 cup castile soap

    Sprinkle all ingredients around the toilet bowl; hydrogen peroxide first, then baking soda, last the essential oil. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes. Scrub and then rinse well

 

Bathroom Mold disinfecting spray

You don’t have to grab bleach to get rid of mold in your bathroom. This 3 combo all natural mixture will do the trick.  I will spray the areas in my bathroom and leave it on for 10 minutes and wipe the moldy areas away. Vodka might be a little bit pricey but you won’t be breathing in toxic chemicals or having to worry about your skin absorbing a list of toxic chemicals.  Vinegar is naturally antimicrobial, tea tree is natural fungicide which can eliminate any mold or mildew problems and kills black mold spores! Don’t forget to label your spray bottle with a black permanent marker.

1 cup of white vinegar

1 cup of vodka

10 drops of tea tree oil

No need to dilute any of this mixture. Place all the ingredients in a spray bottle and label it bathroom mold killer. Mix well.  Spray onto hard surfaces where mold and mildew are growing and let this amazing combo do its cleaning. You’ll still have to scrub a bit, but with repeated use this all-natural cleaner will kill the fungus and help to prevent future growth. Shake each time before use.

Simple all natural air freshener

-clean spray bottle

-10 drops of your favorite essential oil

-2 cups of distilled water

-1 tablespoon of baking soda

Add your water to the spray bottle, next add your baking soda and your favorite essential oil. I always put the lid back on & give it a good shake to mix.  You can spray this on fabric or in the air. Just like you would any store bought synthetic air spray but without the harmful chemicals! Make sure you label all your bottles with a marker to keep track of your DIY products.

This homemade laundry detergent recipe not only keeps those harsh chemicals away but it’s also a cheaper, lasts longer and with all-natural ingredients, it’s a greener, healthier alternative to commercial chemically loaded products. There’s nothing more natural or better than natural products like vinegar, baking soda and essential oils. All my recipes are cheap and healthy plus it is an easy routine that helps to keep your clothes in top shape AND you can feel good about using these products in your home.

 Homemade powder laundry soap

    2/3 cup Super-Washing Soda

   3 tbsp. Baking Soda

    ½ cup Liquid Castile soap

5 cups of water, divided

Directions

    Bring 5 cups of water to a boil.

    Pour washing soda into a large glass bowl then slowly stir in 2 cups of boiling water until washing soda is completely dissolved. Don’t forget to label with a black permanent marker.

Homemade dryer sheets:

2 cup of vinegar

20 drops of your favorite essential oil scents.

Cut 10 pieces of fabric in wash cloths size squares.

1 glass container with a lid

Mix the vinegar and the essential oil scents in the glass container, fold your fabric and place in your jar. Give your jar a good shake and mix the solution all over your fabric.  There are two ways you can do this. 1. After you’ve already dried your clothes, turn your dryer on the no heat cycle and put a few of your dryer sheets in your dried load for about 10 minutes.  But 1st squeeze out excess liquid before you add them in the dryer the sheets should be damp not soaking wet. 2.  Remove a fabric sheet from the jar and squeeze so it is not dripping. Add a sheet to the dryer with wet laundry and dry as usual. Also, don’t be afraid to mix essential oils. Lavender, eucalyptus, lemon and rosemary are very refreshing scents when combined. My favorite homemade laundry scent combinations are:

    Zen Spa – 10 drops eucalyptus, 5 drops lavender

    Floral Dream – 8 drops ylang ylang, 8 drops jasmine

This fabric softener will keep your clothes fresh smelling for a long period of time.

 

You can also just place a wool dryer ball in your and it will naturally help soften and reduce static by bouncing and rubbing against the fabric as it dries.

 FABRIC SOFTENER RECIPE

 1 cup of hot water

 1.5 tsp of baking soda

 3.5 cups apple cedar vinegar

 20 drops of essential oil (your choice).

Large plastic bottle

Place the hot water in the bottle. Next add the apple cedar vinegar and the baking soda. Don’t worry its normal for the chemical reaction to create bubbles. After bubbles go away, add the essential oils. Place the lid on it and give it a good shake. Store it on a dark, cool place. You can use also create a large batch and use this natural softener by adding it in washing machine or soaking your clothes in it. This fabric softener will keep your clothes fresh smelling for a long period of time. Don’t forget to label with a black permanent marker.

 

Honey Vanilla Bubble Bath Recipe

    1/2 cup jojoba, almond, or olive oil

    1/4 cup local, raw or Manuka honey

    1/2 cup Dr. Bonners Liquid Castile Soap

     3 tablespoons of baking soda

   3 tablespoons of Epsom salt

    1 egg white

    1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl or Mason jar and then pour 1/4 to 1/2 cup under running water. This bubble bath doesn’t have any preservatives and it contains egg whites therefore it has a short lifespan. I keep this in my fridge and use it within a week. The egg white is the key to making your bathwater frothy and bubbly.

DIY Liquid Hand Soap

    1/2 cup Dr. Bronners Liquid Castile Soap

    1/2 cup distilled water

    1 TB vitamin E oil (optional)

    1 TB sweet almond oil or olive oil or jojoba oil (optional)

    5 drops lemon essential oil

    5 drops lavender essential oil

    In a Mason jar or recycled soap dispenser, add the water first (to prevent bubbles) then the liquid castile soap, followed by the oils. Shake the ingredients together.

    Shake the soap dispenser before using, then squirt a small amount on your hands as needed, rinsing with water.

 

Natural Citrus Antibacterial Liquid Hand Soap

    1/2 cup Dr. Bonners Liquid Castile Soap

    1/2 cup distilled water

    1 TB vitamin E oil

    1 TB sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil, olive oil or jojoba oil

    5 drops lemon essential oil

    5 drops On Guard essential oil

    In a Mason jar or recycled soap dispenser, add the water first (to prevent bubbles) then the liquid castile soap, followed by the oils. Shake the ingredients together.

    Shake the soap dispenser before using, then squirt a small amount on your hands as needed, rinsing with water.

Homemade Shaving Cream

    1 cup shea butter

    1 cup virgin coconut oil

     3 Tablespoons vitamin E oil

    3 Tablespoons sweet almond oil or olive oil or jojoba oil

     3 Tablespoons Dr. Bonners Liquid Castile Soap

     30 drops of lavender essential oil (optional)

     30 drops of lemon essential oil (optional)

I like to use an electric mixer, mixing all ingredients until stiff peaks are formed (approximately 2-3 minutes). Store in a mason jar with a sealable lid.

Will Taking Hypothyroidism Medication Help With Weight Loss?

Decreased thyroid function, or hypothyroidism, is commonly associated with weight gain. But contrary to popular belief, effective treatment with Hypothyroidism medications that are trying to restore normal thyroid hormone levels is not associated with clinically significant weight loss in most people.

Thyroid and Your Weight

Your thyroid gland is in charge of sending hormones into the bloodstream that help keep your metabolism in check. When your body doesn’t make enough of these hormones, that process will slow down.

This also puts the brakes on other body functions. You might feel cold, tired, or sluggish.

The truth is only about 10% of your total weight gain is likely due retaining water because of hypothyroidism.

“People with hypothyroidism often have gained quite a bit of weight before their diagnosis,” says nutrition coach Cheryl Harris, RD. “They may experience fatigue, and that makes it harder to have the energy to eat well and exercise regularly.”

But the bigger question is this:

How can I be gaining weight on a medication that is supposed to INCREASE my metabolism?

How can that be?

Well, the truth is that Levothyroxine doesn’t necessarily increase your metabolism… at least not in everyone.

In this post I’m going to show you exactly why Levothyroxine can cause weight gain and what you can do about it:

T4 to T3 Conversion Matters… A lot

Before we talk about how Levothyroxine and Synthroid can cause weight gain we need to talk about some basic thyroid physiology so it all makes sense.

Your thyroid, under the influence of TSH (if working properly), pumps out the hormone T4.

What you need to understand is that T4 is an inactive hormone. By itself it doesn’t do anything for your body except act as a reservoir for T3.

In order for thyroid hormone to be active in your body it MUST be converted to the active hormone T3.

T3 is the hormone that enters into your cells and actually activates biochemical processes.

The problem is that T4 doesn’t always convert to T3.

You see:

Your body has the option of converting T4 to reverse T3 as well, and reverse T3 is a thyroid blocking metabolite.

The more reverse T3 in your blood stream the less you can rely on normal thyroid blood tests to give you any actionable information.

So what causes your body to turn T4 into the inactive reverse T3?

Levothyroxine and Synthroid are both T4 only Medications!

So here is the primary problem:
Levothyroxine and Synthroid are both T4 only medications.

Most Doctors will prescribe you T4 medication under the assumption that your body will have no problem converting T4 into T3.

And in a perfect world, a world without stress, inflammation or other hormonal imbalances – it would.

But that’s not the world we live in…

Nowadays it’s VERY uncommon if someone has their stress managed, has no other hormonal imbalances and their adrenals are functioning just fine.

In states such as these your body will turn T4 into reverse T3 as a way to “put on the brakes” and slow down your metabolism and cause symptoms of hypothyroidism.

How Levothyroxine Causes weight gain

So how does this all relate to Levothyroxine and weight gain?

We can look at some studies to help us understand:

Take for instance this study.

It showed that patients who take Levothyroxine still have an abnormally low metabolism even with a “normal” TSH.

This means that TSH as a marker for managing your thyroid medications (in certain people) is inaccurate!

Patients fall into this trap.

They think that because their labs and TSH have somehow improved they are suddenly “better”.

(Note: You can find out how you should be monitoring your body when you take thyroid medication to make sure it is actually working below.)

What’s more:

A study showed that suppressing the TSH did NOT result in adverse side effects.

T4 suppressive therapy no adverse side effects
One of the main reasons Doctors are afraid to prescribe T3 medications is because they are concerned that the low TSH will result in damage to the body over time.

What it really results in is a poor quality of life, and increased incidence of depression.

Here is another very interesting study that compared people taking Natural Dessicated Thyroid to those taking Levothyroxine:

This study showed that patients taking Natural Dessicated Thyroid (Like armour thyroid, naturethroid and westhroid) experienced more weight loss and HALF of the people in the study said that they preferred taking NDT over levothyroxine.

Moral of the story?

Most patients not only prefer to take Natural dessicated thyroid (medication that includes T3 hormone) but this medication also results in more weight loss and an improved quality of life.

One of the biggest problems with T4 only medication is that your body may NOT be converting it to the T3 hormone.

In many patients your body may actually convert it to reverse T3 thereby slowing your metabolism, and actually making you WORSE.

Slowing your metabolism = weight gain.

What happened when I Stopped Trying to Lose Weight with Hashimoto’s and Hypothyroidism

But here is another important note:

Natural Dessicated Thyroid still contains T4 (in fact the majority is still T4).

That means that sometimes NDT can actually make hypothyroid symptoms worse as well. People with this problem need pure T3 medications like Liothyronine.

So what can you do to prevent this?

What to do if you think Levothyroxine is Causing Weight Gain

Luckily there are some things you can do to find out if you are being under treated with your medication or to see if levothyroxine is not the right medication for you.

1. Check your Basal Body Temperature Each Morning

Checking your basal body temperature is a quick and easy way to estimate your basal metabolic rate.

Your basal metabolic rate is basically how many calories you are burning on a daily basis.

In under treated thyroid patients this will obviously be lower.

How to check your basal body temperature:

Each morning, as soon as you wake up, write down your morning temperature. I recommend using an axillary thermometer (but you can also use an oral thermometer). The goal here is consistency.
Plot your morning body temperature and watch for patterns. Your body temperature should be > 97.8. Period. Anything less than this indicates that your metabolism may be slowed. *Note that medications may interfere with the reliability with this test (medications like beta blockers and narcotics).

Notice the image above which shows what an untreated hypothyroid patient looks like and notice how the graph becomes much more stable after armour thyroid kicks in.

2. Check your Resting Pulse or Resting Heart Rate

I also suggest that you check your resting pulse rate.

Hypothyroid states are well known to cause a slow heart rate or low pulse.

If you have hypothyroidism I recommend buying a wearable fitness device to monitor your pulse, how well you sleep and how active you are throughout the day.

This data that you collect can help your doctor see & adjust the thyroid dosage.

Combining basal body temperature with resting heart rate is a very powerful combination and can help you determine how well you are being treated.

Your resting pulse should generally be > 50-60 at night while you sleep, unless you are a WELL conditioned athlete. A resting heart rate lower than that indicates an issue (though doesn’t necessarily mean it is thyroid related).

If you are on medications like a beta blocker or narcotics it may interfere with your pulse rate/heart rate.

3. Check a Complete Thyroid Panel

Finally, in addition to the other steps above I always recommend a full and complete thyroid panel.

That means the following tests:

TSH
Free T3
Free T4
Reverse T3
Thyroid Antibodies
Sex Hormone Binding Globulin

Combine these tests with resting heart rate and basal body temperature and now you are practicing good medicine!

Finally Losing Weight with Hypothyroidism

If after checking your body temperature, pulse and thyroid lab tests you find that your tests fall outside of the normal range then it’s time to make some changes!

The First Step

The first step to fixing your problem with levothyroxine is to try and switch medications.

I recommend that you find a Doctor who is willing to work with you and is willing to prescribe medications that contain T3.

These medications include: Natural Dessicated Thyroid (Armour thyroid, Westhroid, Naturethroid, etc.) and/or Cytomel.

If you are working with an Endocrinologist you may have more luck in asking them to add Liothyronine or Cytomel to your regimen.

Even adding 5-10mcg of Liothyronine can be enough for some people (though not the majority).

Whenever possible I do recommend finding a Doctor that specializes in Functional Medicine.

Alternatives if your Doctor won’t work with you

There are several things YOU can do to optimize your thyroid function even if your Doctor won’t work with you.

Start Supporting my Adrenal Glands

Your adrenals produce over 50 hormones that tell almost every bodily function what they need to be doing. These hormones affect every function, organ and tissue in the body. Eating refined foods and sugars will cause a spike in your blood sugar levels, which in return cause the body to release insulin and as a result the adrenal glands will release more cortisol. When your adrenal glands are compromised this puts your body in a catabolic state. Which means your body is breaking down. Since your thyroid glands controls the metabolic activity of the body, it will attempt to slow down the catabolic state by slowing down your metabolism. Many of the foods that I had been eating blocked nutrients from being absorbed such as whole grain bread, beans and tofu/soy products. These foods also created inflammation in my digestive tract. When there is inflammation in the digestive system undigested proteins leak into the blood stream creating a heightened immune reaction that often exacerbates thyroid issues. I had to focus more on eating the most nutrient dense foods possible and find my trigger food sensitivities. lastly, eliminate all processed food, high carbohydrates, gluten, corn, soy and sugar, plan meals around protein and healthy fats then load up my plate with vegetables.

I had to start eating  nutrient-dense foods that were  easy to digest and have healing qualities such as

  • Coconut
  • homemade bone broth
  • grass fed meats
  • pastured meats
  • wild game
  • pastured organ meats
  • natural fats such as coconut oil
  • grass fed butter/ghee
  • full fat grass fed dairy
  • mineral rich Himalayan sea salt
  • wild fish
  • Olives
  • Avocado
  • Cruciferous vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, etc.) Cooked…. (Limit 2x week)
  • Fatty fish (e.g., wild-caught salmon)
  • Organic hormone free Chicken and turkey
  • Seeds, such as raw pumpkinchia seeds and flax seeds
  • Kelp and seaweed
  • Celtic or Himalayan sea salt
  • fermented foods
  • leafy greens
  • Nitrate free bacon
  • Nuts, such as walnuts and almonds
  • Coconut Flour, Almond Flour , hemp seeds and Chia seeds
  • ghee
  • bone broth

3. Add in moderate Exercise

High intensity exercise is can do more harm than good.

4.Reduce your inflammation

Chronic inflammation can spread and have more harmful effects than just one area in your body. Your body can experience things like higher blood pressure , allergies, create autoimmune issues, experience joint pain, cause heart problems, harmful swelling, bone loss, it can lower your iron levels and it just have a negative impact on your entire well-being. Did you know that chronic inflammation can also raise your reverse T3, which means this might be the reason why your hypothyroidism was created in the 1st place. We must get the inflammation under control. Cut out foods like gluten, sugar, refined carbs, fake foods, soy, and vegetable oils and add in fresh whole fruits, healthy fats and fiber. 5. Balance Insulin and Leptin levels

Leptin and Insulin resistance will also cause your body to turn T4 into reverse T3.

In addition high levels of Leptin are responsible for reducing metabolism and increasing appetite.

For instance, famine, contagious diseases, sanitation, Hygiene, antibiotics, and the creation of other Antimicrobial Medicines. The 1st time in history humans are dying from the products they have created to consume and use along with being slowly poisoned for profit. At the same time, we are destroying more ecosystems and animals into extinction. This new power that we have is creating a pathway to transform us into our very own extinction. It seems that humans are undermining their very own existence. This greed is also creating alarming gene mutations and in the near, future we may not even be able to recognize a true human genome. There is enormous power within our government, religion, the industry, the media, and the 1% elite idealists in our world. Yes, the scientists and researchers are creating but the reality is the money behind them is paving the way. The funding behind the research isn’t always truthful and the data has been swayed to benefit the funding party. In this book, I have done an intensive job of investigative work where you will learn the current profit environment in the many aspects of the American healthcare industry, the Food Industry, and the Chemical industry. This is not only harmful to us but for future generations to come. You will also learn how Americans Are Deliberately Being Poisoned for Profit and see the Price Tag Stapled to our ears. We are just disposable pawns in their game of chess.

It is criminal and dare I say genocide what the food industry is doing to us. The FDA sits backs and allows this to happen.  Our bodies are now a chemical dumping ground for the food industry and we need to wake up! These chemicals mimic our very own hormones and start to rearrange our bodies ‘ chemistry.  We are not asking enough questions and not demanding change therefore, we are allowing our very own toxic environment to be created, both external and internal, which none of us will be able to escape. 

With all of Monsanto’s biochemical wizardry, one would think that they could find another way to create pesticides besides dumping estrogen-mimicking carcinogens onto the world’s food supply. Next on their agenda is artificial meat and it may be the “meat of the future”, maybe the only meat?

The pure stupidity and lack of basic human compassion involved in all of this illness and moneymaking are astounding. It is very important to understand that we have ended up in this mess for many reasons. Some of these people do believe they are doing what is best for humanity then you have the ones who simply do not give a damn how they are ultimately destroying what it is to be human and you certainly should never underestimate how low these people will go to gain profit off our health dismay. Americans are just in one big petri dish that seems to be poisoned, and controlled like lab rats.

It is very frustrating when you have doctors and scientists who try to help their patients and the government bureaucracies, private and secretive foundations who do everything in their power to block the science. They are sabotaging us deliberately and the real research controlled.

Accidents seem created more intentionally to murder people who are speaking out where it looks like a plausibly deniable manner – it is just a standard operating procedure for the Our Military Intelligence complex. When you start speaking out and against what is happening you become the Enemy of the State.

The ones controlling the narrative will do anything to discredit, dismantle, and destroy anything or anyone who begins to stand in their way. There are higher powers that are controlling the narrative and they are brainwashing all of us. This whole thing seems a bit sick and twisted. These people need to own and control every aspect of our lives. Anything that goes into your body or on your body they want to control.  Every thought, every breath, every bite of fake food, medication, vaccine, environmental chemicals, household chemicals, and fluoridated water. They have pulled the wool over our eyes to blind us from the truth. We have been guinea pigs for the entire industry far too long. Our fabric of what it means to be human appears torn at the core.

Our society systematically learned social conditioning while passively adjusting to indoctrination that they seem too randomly if ever think out of the box.

Congress, large corporations that donate funding, the power elite, insurance companies, big pharma, and our lobbyist all play a major part.  We are in a baseball game, where we the American people are in the last inning of the World Series, and we are up one run but all of their bases loaded with the other team. The American people are like the pitcher on the mound. We are stuck in classic doubt. We seem to be saying to ourselves,” Can I make this Pitch?” 

 Due to outrageous political influences on medicine and government policy, the vast majority of patients will not be able to receive the correct diagnoses. Correct diagnosis is vital in obtaining the correct treatment too.

Marketing, misconceptions, miss-information, “buying doctors”, outright lies and even conspiracy by pharmaceutical companies throughout the world have led to the unsuspecting public taking billions of pills that do not help us and may even harm us.

High blood pressure, high cholesterol, premenstrual syndrome, ADD/ADHD, pre-diabetes, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, hormone replacement, and other “diseases” are really “symptoms, not diseases.” So how did they get to be diseases and produce billions of dollars in drug sales to treat them?

How does that happen? Doctors, medical schools, clinical journals, and even the FDA employees are all dependent on pharmaceutical company dollars and that leads to journal articles that are “ghost-written” by big pharma employees, sent to physicians who “assume” that they are true and disseminated by pharma reps whose considerable income and continued employment depend on convincing doctors to write more of their product.

Just in the last few hundred years what we call modern medication has become a reality for us. You see nutrition history came to life within the context of World Wars, Famines, Politics, and individuals dedicated to saving lives but the idea of nutritional theorizing began, like most everything, with the ancient Greeks. Hippocrates (ca. 460 BCE–370 BCE) is often credited with developing the theory of the four senses of humor—blood, yellow bile, black bile, and phlegm—and their influence on the body. Galen’s understanding of anatomy and medicine influenced primarily by Hippocrates’s theory of bodily humor in the second century CE, in which these teachings lasted for centuries. Most of us seem educated by certain facts from our doctors, scientists, pharmaceutical researchers, our government, and other organizations that have gathered and created data that presented to us throughout our lives to convince us that what we see is truthful.  

We all are going to die. There is no way to achieve immortality. However, if you take effort to improve your health by eating clean food, drinking clean water, also by doing detox cleansing to remove the many thousands of toxins we are exposed to in our modern society then you will be able to optimize your health and be more resistant to any kind of disease.  Our body has the ability to heal any attack but what is missing from the narrative is we have to actually take care of our body. We cannot continually put poison in our body and think it will be ok. We must be aware of what we are eating. They say, “You are what you eat”. That is true in every aspect of the phrase.  We must stop putting these poisons in our body where we can recognize our full health potentials.  

After becoming critically ill with a “so-called” long-term condition. I healed myself with research, knowledge, and courage (induced by our toxic food, metal loaded toxic vaccines, a chemically enhanced water system, and current “health” care system practice); it has become even more important to me to spread the word about how dispensable we are to our capitalistic culture.

We should not be startled when we see a decline in our health because it is completely predictable with all the manipulations with viruses being made to our DNA. Besides the fake foods, toxic medications, and the poisons that are in our environment along with the crap we slather on our body.   

We can always place the blame of our demise at the feet of those who are guilty but somewhere, somehow we must take the responsibility.  Sure, we trusted those who were supposed to be trusted. The deep fake state establishment cares zero about the well-being of the American people. We are just animals with price tags stapled to our ears. You can be the smartest person in the room but still, people will not listen. Humans are undermining their very own existence.

Everyone is walking around has a dollar amount attached to them. Humans have been for years blindly walking around with an invisible bar code printed across their forehead with a price tag stapled to their ear like a herd of cattle. The amount is completely up to that person. Are they sick? Are they healthy? Do they have a disorder, disease, condition, or syndrome? How much medication do they consume? How many vaccines will they allow to inject into their body? How many times will they need to visit a doctor? How many procedures will they need? What can we get out of this “animal”? How much in taxes can we tax this person? The more services you need the higher the value of your dollar amount becomes.   

There is enormous power within our government, religion, politicians, corporations, the media, and the 1% elite idealists in our world.

Our ‘trusted’ watchdog agencies, both non-profit and government, are secretly “in bed” with these big companies.  Accepting money in return for their silence about the dangers of processed fake foods, toxic vaccines, pharmaceutical medications, toxic-tainted tap water, and chemical trails raining from above, Persistent organic pollutants (POPs), corporations poisoning our land, air, and water supply along with and pesticides on the food we consume.

We are in a war for the sake of all of humankind. Clean water, clean food, clean land, and clean air is something we should not have to demand. Forced vaccines, misrepresented disproportionately medications, media propaganda & endorsed environmental toxins is something from a fictional Hollywood movie but unfortunately, it is our current America. They create hate among us individually; it makes their job so much easier.  Divide and conquer. Blinded by fake narratives to keep our attention away from the atrocities currently done to the American people.

It is every living beings right on this planet to have a healthy planet but yet it is also humanity’s responsibility as one of the smartest species on the planet to not pillage, plunder and destroy this given privilege. Perhaps, evolution made a mistake allowing us humans to be the dominators over the animal kingdom.

They view us as disposable lab rats with a dollar sign attached to our ears like animals heading to slaughter.   

 Why do you believe what you believe? At some point in your life, you trusted the information that you learned and that person told you how to read the language that you speak, count numbers, and learn to spell. The things you learned help to form our perception of what we believed to be facts. You have listened to, read, and watched a ton of content from birth until now. Have you ever stopped and listened to the content that you are viewing? Motion pictures, television shows, social media, and the news are the world’s greatest forces for influencing the public’s thoughts and opinions. Think about a movie you seen like Jaws for example. Did that make you scared to go into the ocean? How about the movie Top Gun? Did you all of a sudden want to become a pilot and a freedom fighter for justice? Think about when you are listening to the radio while driving, on some sort of social media app, watching television, or watching a movie at the theaters; what are you listening too? One word. Programming. Since birth, we have been programmed by television shows, movies, music, games, and now social media. Our government has always controlled our content but we have never paid attention to it. Now, what if they did not have our best interests in mind. Would you change your views if you found out this to be true? The gatekeepers want to control us. Years of research has left a missing element in my quest for the truth.

This desire for the answers is the reason why I must continue to seek it out. This is why I have become an alchemist by heart and by nature. There is a means to teach, transform the health of others, and to show people how to prolong their life. 

If we do not find a balance between the conservation of nature and the flourishing of humans, there will not be a future on this earth for us. We have taken nature for granted and so arrogantly at that.  I have spent a lot of time making small changes in my life over the last few years to try to avoid chemicals that these large companies expose us to increase their profits. This book opened my eyes to so much more than what I had already researched on my own. I have listed many resources, books to read, and videos in this book for you to seek more education. Never take anyone’s word for granted.  You must find the truth yourself.  This book has been extensively researched and referenced.

I am not here to argue with an unbeliever or persuade anyone to agree with my hypothesis but the truth appears written not only by me but also by other people.  Many will have a difference of opinion but that does not mean we all will have a difference of principle. 

So, what happens when we become sick?

We need treatments, medications, and procedures. Which all of these add to that price tag stapled to our ears. That hidden barcode on our forehead.  

There once was a land where happiness, health & prosperity flourished. People lived with the earth. The earth flourished and so did the humans who lived on it.
