Freightliner’s Dark Secret: Are You Being Pushed Out Before the Inevitable Layoffs?

Freightliner’s Dark Secret: Are You Being Pushed Out Before the Inevitable Layoffs?

By A.L. Childers – A Wife, A Thinker, and A Truth Seeker

The Writing on the Wall? Or Just Another Conspiracy?

Let’s talk about a possibility—an alleged scenario so chilling that if true, it should make every Freightliner employee sit up and pay attention. This is not fearmongering. This is just asking questions. But if history teaches us anything, it’s that patterns repeat themselves, and the past often whispers the truth about the future.

Let’s take a stroll down memory lane:

  • 2003-2009: Freightliner laid off thousands, citing economic downturns while executives still cashed their million-dollar bonuses.
  • 2012: Another wave of layoffs, coincidentally just before major policy shifts that would have required more worker protections.
  • 2016: Mt. Holly and Cleveland plants saw 1,250 job cuts. The reason? “Market demand.” But industry insiders whispered that the real cause was corporate maneuvering to protect profit margins.
  • 2020: The pandemic created the perfect cover for additional “restructuring.”
  • Today: Allegedly, the cycle is repeating itself again.

Follow the Money

Let’s do some math. Since 2003, Freightliner’s parent company, Daimler Truck, has made billions—yes, billions—quarter after quarter. Their quarterly revenue trends paint a picture:

  • 2003 Q1-Q4: ~$5 billion
  • 2008 Q1-Q4: ~$8 billion
  • 2013 Q1-Q4: ~$9.5 billion
  • 2018 Q1-Q4: ~$13 billion
  • 2023 Q1-Q4: A staggering $22 billion+

Now, we aren’t financial analysts, but if a company is pulling in billions every three months, why are there ever layoffs? Why are workers asked to do more for less? The answer is always the same: “Cost-saving measures.”

Which leads to a question:

Are workers at Freightliner being psychologically manipulated into quitting, so the company doesn’t have to pay unemployment when they inevitably downsize?

Allegedly.

There’s a theory—one that history backs up—that when corporations anticipate layoffs, they increase pressure on employees:
✅ Stricter rules
✅ More write-ups for minor infractions
✅ A push toward unbearable working conditions
✅ A sudden “change” in attendance policies

Why? To force resignations before layoffs hit. That way, fewer workers qualify for unemployment, and the company saves millions.

If this theory holds weight, the next wave of job losses could hit hard—possibly eliminating hundreds, if not thousands, of jobs.

Prepare for the Future—Not the Shock

This isn’t about spreading fear. This is about preparedness. As a wise man once said:

“The best way to predict the future is to create it.”Peter Drucker

If you work at Freightliner, ask yourself:

  • Are you financially prepared for a sudden job loss?
  • Do you have a backup plan?
  • Have you documented your work performance?
  • Do you know your rights if you are laid off?

10 Quotes About Preparing for the Future

  1. “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” – Benjamin Franklin
  2. “The only thing that makes life possible is permanent, intolerable uncertainty; not knowing what comes next.” – Ursula K. Le Guin
  3. “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” – Benjamin Franklin
  4. “Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot, but make it hot by striking.” – William Butler Yeats
  5. “The wise man bridges the gap by laying out the path by means of which he can get from where he is to where he wants to go.” – J.P. Morgan
  6. “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.” – Seneca
  7. “Fortune favors the prepared mind.” – Louis Pasteur
  8. “Predicting rain doesn’t count. Building arks does.” – Warren Buffett
  9. “Be ready when opportunity comes. Luck is the time when preparation and opportunity meet.” – Roy D. Chapin Jr.
  10. “A good plan today is better than a perfect plan tomorrow.” – George S. Patton

A Warning Wrapped in Wisdom

Here’s where it gets interesting. Everything you’ve just read was written by AI.

Or was it?

Maybe none of this is true. Maybe this is all just a fun little exercise in hypothetical scenarios. Or maybe—just maybe—truth is a two-edged sword, and it’s time to start taking a serious look at your future.

This article wasn’t written to scare you but to wake you up. Because regardless of what’s happening inside Freightliner, the truth remains the same:

The world is unpredictable. Companies protect profits, not people. And those who fail to prepare will always be at the mercy of those who do.

And just so you know—this was written by a wife. A brilliant wife. A published author. A wife who has spent 30 years watching her husband give his life to a company that sees him as a number.

We want the best for everyone. Act accordingly. Always be prepared.

Why Am I Still Broke? The Harsh Reality of Wage Inequality in America

Why Am I Still Broke? The Harsh Reality of Wage Inequality in America

The American Dream Is a Lie

I wake up every morning with the same thought running through my mind: Why am I still broke?

I’ve done everything right. I’ve worked hard, I’ve pursued my passions, and I’ve achieved what many dream of—I’m a best-selling author with books sold across the world. People read my words, find meaning in my writing, and yet, here I am, living paycheck to paycheck, barely scraping by on $540 a week after taxes at a corporate job that profits off my labor while keeping me underpaid and overworked.

How is this possible? How is it that in one of the wealthiest nations in the world, talented, hardworking people still struggle to survive? The answer lies in a system rigged to keep corporations rich and workers trapped in an endless cycle of financial servitude.

Corporate Greed Exposed: The Modern-Day Feudal System

Let’s be clear—corporate America is modern-day feudalism. The ruling elite sit at the top, hoarding wealth and power, while the rest of us toil endlessly for wages that haven’t kept up with inflation.

  • The CEO-to-worker pay ratio has skyrocketed over the last 40 years. In 1965, CEOs made 20 times the average worker’s salary. Today? That number is over 400 times (Source: Economic Policy Institute, 2023).
  • Workers are being forced to do more work for less pay, while corporate profits hit record highs every quarter.
  • Billionaires are buying yachts the size of football fields, while millions of Americans wonder how they’re going to afford rent next month.

And yet, society gaslights us into believing that if we just worked harder, we’d be successful. That’s a lie.

The system is designed to keep you poor, exhausted, and dependent on jobs that barely cover your expenses.

Why Writers Can’t Make a Living (And What That Says About Our Economy)

I always believed that if I became a successful writer, I’d be financially secure. After all, books have changed the world for centuries. Writers fuel revolutions, shift perspectives, and document history.

And yet, most authors can’t even make a living.

  • The median annual income for full-time writers is just $20,300. (Authors Guild, 2023)
  • Publishing houses and Amazon take massive cuts, leaving writers with pennies on the dollar for their work.
  • AI-generated content is flooding the market, devaluing real human creativity.

Think about it—we live in a world where TikTok influencers make millions for dancing on camera, but skilled authors, journalists, and artists struggle to pay rent.

What does that say about our society?

It says that capitalism doesn’t reward intelligence or creativity—it rewards exploitation.

Living Paycheck to Paycheck: The Reality for Most Americans

Even those with stable jobs aren’t safe. Most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, with no savings, no financial security, and no way out.

  • Over 60% of Americans report that they wouldn’t be able to cover a $500 emergency. (CNBC, 2023)
  • Inflation is rising, but wages remain stagnant—meaning our money is worth less every year.
  • Housing prices are out of control, making homeownership a pipe dream for millions.

Yet, we’re told to be grateful for having a job at all. We’re gaslit into thinking that struggling to survive is normal. It’s not.

Remote Work Surveillance: The Digital Slave Master

You’d think working remotely would give people more freedom, right? Wrong.

Corporations have turned remote work into a dystopian nightmare.

  • Zoom meetings aren’t about collaboration—they’re about surveillance. They want to see our faces, watch our reactions, and ensure we are presentable, obedient workers.
  • Keystroke tracking, screen monitoring, and productivity software are being used to watch employees like prisoners.
  • “Work-life balance” is a lie. Companies expect workers to be available 24/7, blurring the line between personal and professional time.

Escaping the 9-to-5 Trap: Is It Even Possible?

So, what’s the solution? How do we break free from this soul-crushing cycle?

  1. Stop believing in the system. The American Dream is a carefully curated lie designed to keep you complacent. Question everything.
  2. Find alternative income streams. If you rely on one job for survival, you’re vulnerable. Find ways to monetize your skills outside the corporate machine.
  3. Call out corporate greed. The more we expose this rigged system, the harder it is for the elites to keep us in the dark.
  4. Reject unnecessary surveillance. If your company doesn’t trust you to work without watching your face on Zoom, they don’t deserve your labor.
  5. Demand better wages. We should not be grateful for scraps while billionaires hoard trillions.

Final Thoughts: I Refuse to Stay Silent

Tomorrow, I’ll log into work. I’ll do what I have to do—for now. But I’m not stopping.

I am a best-selling author.
I am a creator.
I am not a corporate slave.

And if you’re reading this, neither are you.

We deserve better than this.

And one way or another, we will break free.

Hell is the Distraction: How Power and Wealth Have Always Preyed on the Innocent

Hell is the Distraction: How Power and Wealth Have Always Preyed on the Innocent

By A.L. Childers

In today’s world, distractions are everywhere. Television, social media, political theater—all of it designed to keep us entertained, placated, and unaware of the sinister forces at work. This isn’t new. It’s as old as time itself. While we’re entertained, our families are being destroyed, pillaged, and murdered—all in the name of progress. The rich and powerful have always known how to manipulate the masses. When they want something, they create laws, bills, or even disasters to steal it right out from under us. Take, for example, the lithium mines stretching from Kings Mountain to Chimney Rock, North Carolina. A valuable resource, ripe for exploitation, but it’s not just natural forces they rely on—it’s human-made disasters.

With the use of HAARP and DARPA, the government has mastered the ability to control the weather, creating hurricanes and storms to devastate areas and clear the way for corporate land grabs. Hurricane Helene, which devastated my people, was no natural occurrence. It was a calculated attack, designed to kill, to uproot, and to create an opportunity for those in power. When the government sees you as an enemy, they don’t hesitate to destroy you. No questions asked. This war—and all wars—is ancient, rich men getting richer at the expense of the innocent. It’s always been this way.

A Cycle of Exploitation: From Serfs to Modern Americans

Throughout history, the powerful have used the poor as pawns. In America today, we are the serfs—enslaved to a system of corporate greed and government control. We are led to believe we have power, but that’s the biggest lie of all. The rich and powerful control every facet of our lives. They manipulate the laws, the economy, and the very fabric of society to benefit themselves, leaving the rest of us to fight their wars and pay for their progress with our blood.

This isn’t a new phenomenon. It’s been happening since the dawn of civilization. The original Constitution of the United States was rewritten, placing power in the hands of bankers—men who funded both sides of every war. Why? Because war is profit. The poor die fighting rich men’s battles. It’s never been about us—it’s always been about them.

10 Examples of Power Exploiting the Innocent Throughout History

  1. Ancient Egypt (3000 BC – 30 BC)
Pharaohs, worshipped as gods, enslaved their people to build monuments to their own glory, while the masses lived in squalor. The pyramids were not just symbols of power but of exploitation.
  2. Roman Empire (27 BC – 476 AD)
The Roman elite used gladiatorial games and lavish feasts to distract the populace from crippling taxes, military conquests, and the increasing wealth gap. The spectacle kept the people docile while the empire expanded at their expense.
  3. Constantine’s Rule (306 – 337 AD)
Constantine the Great exploited Christianity to unite his empire, using religion as a tool to control the masses. By declaring it the state religion, he manipulated faith to justify war and consolidate power.
  4. Feudal Europe (9th – 15th Century)
During the Middle Ages, European monarchs and nobles lived in luxury, while the vast majority of people lived as serfs, tied to the land and forced to work for the wealthy. The peasants were kept ignorant and impoverished, while the rich profited off their labor.
  5. The Enclosure Acts (17th – 19th Century)
In England, the Enclosure Acts allowed landowners to seize common lands, which had been used by peasants for farming and grazing. The poor were forced off the land and into crowded cities, fueling the Industrial Revolution while the wealthy landowners grew richer.
  6. The Transatlantic Slave Trade (16th – 19th Century)
European and American elites built their fortunes on the backs of enslaved Africans, treating human beings as property to be bought, sold, and worked to death. The system was justified through laws and propaganda, ensuring the rich profited from unimaginable cruelty.
  7. American Industrialists (19th – Early 20th Century)
Robber barons like Rockefeller, Carnegie, and Vanderbilt amassed vast fortunes while their workers toiled in dangerous conditions for low wages. Labor movements were crushed, and laws were passed to protect the interests of the rich, all while the poor suffered.
  8. World War I (1914 – 1918)
Often called “the war to end all wars,” WWI was, in reality, a conflict fueled by imperial ambitions and the greed of arms manufacturers. Millions of young men died fighting in the trenches, while industrialists and bankers made fortunes supplying weapons to both sides.
  9. World War II (1939 – 1945)
Once again, the elite profited from global conflict. Banks and corporations funded both the Axis and Allied powers, reaping enormous profits as the world was plunged into chaos. The war was framed as a fight for freedom, but in reality, it was about control of resources and markets.
  10. The Iraq War (2003 – 2011)
A modern example of war for profit, the Iraq invasion was justified through lies about weapons of mass destruction. In truth, it was about oil and military contracts, with companies like Halliburton profiting from the destruction and rebuilding of a nation. The cost? Thousands of lives, both American and Iraqi.

The War Continues: It’s Always Been About Them

The examples above aren’t isolated events; they are part of a larger pattern that has existed since the beginning of time. Men of power have always taken more power from the blood of the innocent. Yours, mine, and all those who have been slain in the name of progress. And the truth is, it won’t stop until we stop believing the lies.

We are only powerless if we believe we are powerless. Humans need to understand that this system of exploitation has been happening since the dawn of time. They distract us with entertainment, propaganda, and manufactured crises, all while taking more and more. They divide us along lines of race, class, and politics, keeping us from seeing the real enemy: them. The rich, the powerful, the untouchable.

What Can We Do?

I want to stop it. I want to wake people up. But I can’t do it alone. We need to realize that we are not powerless. We have the numbers, the strength, and the ability to change the system. But it starts with understanding the game they’ve been playing for centuries. It’s time to stop fighting each other and start fighting the real enemy.

If we stand united, we can reclaim our power. We can stop the wars, the corruption, and the exploitation. It’s time to say enough is enough. The rich have bled us dry for too long. The serfs, the poor, the powerless—they’re counting on us to continue the fight.

This isn’t just a modern problem. This is humanity’s oldest story, and it’s time we wrote a new ending.
