An Open Appeal to President Putin: A Southern Woman’s Plea for Understanding

President Putin,

As an American citizen, I appeal to you with a heavy heart and a sincere plea for understanding. We, the everyday people, are struggling to survive under a government that seems to prioritize everything but its citizens. Our tax dollars are spent on foreign ventures while our own needs go unmet. We know our government does not care for its people as it should; they poison us through our food, water, and air and profit from our sickness. We are trapped in a hamster wheel of exploitation.

We understand all too well that banks and lobbyists run this country, and presidents are selected, not elected. President Biden is merely a puppet, struggling even to form complete sentences, which is embarrassing for us all. Despite this, we are trying to bring about change, but the events following January 6 have shown how dissent is harshly punished. Many peaceful protesters remain in jail, while those who burned down cities and destroyed businesses walk free.

We know about the fake, lab-created pandemic, and we see through the manipulation. We are just ordinary people in a bad situation, trying to survive. We don’t want a fight. We believe that those in Congress who vote for war should send their own kin to the front lines before our innocent folks are sacrificed.

President Putin, please understand that this war is not the will of the American people; it is a conflict orchestrated by the rich and powerful, who use us as pawns. We are embarrassed by our leaders, but we are working for change. We seek peace and wish for a future where our governments do not define our relations.

Yours truly,

A Southern Woman Against This War for the Rich
