Why I won’t apologize for wanting to be hot, healthy, and whole again.
You know what I’ve finally decided?
I’m not going back. Not to the shame. Not to the silence. Not to pretending I’m okay when my body is screaming that I’m not.
Yes, I may miss the days when my jeans zipped without prayer and I could survive on cereal and sarcasm. But this isn’t about nostalgia — it’s about reclamation.
There’s a version of me that existed before the exhaustion, before the puffiness, before the bloodwork that read like a warning label. She was fierce. She was vibrant. She laughed louder and walked taller. And for a while, I mourned her like a death.
But now? I see her differently. She’s not gone. She was buried—under hormones, survival mode, motherhood, trauma, and everyone else’s needs stacked on top of mine.
And I’m telling you right now:
I’m digging her out. And she’s coming back better.
✨ I will not apologize…
For wanting to feel confident in my own skin again
For wanting to turn heads, even if just my own in the mirror
For wanting my energy, my libido, and my damn waistline back
For saying no to burnout and yes to balance
For refusing to shrink my dreams while my body expands
Some people will say:
“You should just accept yourself.” And I do. I accept that my body is doing its best — and I’m doing mine, too. But loving yourself doesn’t mean giving up on yourself.
I love my body enough to fight for it. I love my future enough to want a healthy, vibrant version of me in it. And I love myself enough to say:
I’m not settling for survival anymore. I want vitality.
💥 The comeback isn’t about going back in time.
It’s about bringing her forward — the girl who knew her worth long before the world tried to shrink it.
And I’m telling you… I’m not going.
Not back to being small, silent, or sick.
Not back to apologizing for wanting more.
Not back to dimming myself so others can shine.
This chapter? It’s my mic drop. This book? My mixtape. This life? My stage.
For over five decades, the people of St. Louis and the surrounding regions, including St. Charles, have been living amidst an environmental catastrophe. The government’s mishandling of nuclear waste has resulted in a persistent and dangerous presence of radiation in our communities, impacting the air, water, and soil.
The Genesis of the Crisis
It all started when the government irresponsibly dumped nuclear waste into a public landfill in St. Louis. These hazardous materials were left out in barrels, exposed to the elements, and negligently transported in trucks. As a result, the radioactive waste seeped into local creeks, contaminated the soil, and polluted the air. Despite the passage of time, this crisis remains unaddressed, leaving residents exposed to nuclear radiation in their neighborhoods, schools, and recreational areas.
The Coldwater Creek Project
One of the significant initiatives aimed at addressing this crisis is the Coldwater Creek Project. This community-driven effort focuses on raising awareness, conducting research, and advocating for the cleanup of Coldwater Creek, a major site of contamination. The project’s mission is to ensure that the government and responsible parties are held accountable for the environmental and health damages inflicted on the community.
A Perpetual Cycle of Neglect
The failure to clean up this nuclear waste highlights a troubling pattern of governmental negligence and lack of accountability. For 50 years, residents have borne the brunt of these toxic exposures, with little to no recourse. Taxpayers find themselves repeatedly paying for the government’s mishaps, while companies responsible for dumping these toxic poisons often escape liability by influencing politicians to pass lenient regulations.
The Broader Implications
The situation in St. Louis is a stark reminder of the broader issues of corporate pollution and political corruption. Companies continue to dump toxic substances into our waters and land, prioritizing profit over public health. Meanwhile, political leaders, swayed by corporate donations, fail to enforce stringent environmental protections.
A Call to Action
The ongoing crisis in St. Louis and St. Charles is a clarion call for action. It is imperative for citizens to demand transparency, accountability, and stringent regulations to protect our environment and health. Community efforts like the Coldwater Creek Project are vital, but lasting change will require a united stand against corporate greed and political corruption.
By staying informed and involved, we can push for a safer, healthier future for all residents. The time to act is now – to ensure that our backyards are free from radiation and our voices are heard in the corridors of power.
Together, we can fight for justice and protect our communities from the lingering shadows of nuclear waste.
Carbohydrates are called the primary fuel source, not because they are vital for our wellbeing, but because, due to the damage sugars cause, they are expelled as energy (or stored as fat, out of harm’s way), as a matter of urgency. Excess blood sugars, caused by carbs and sugar itself, are dealt with by the body releasing insulin to relocate them in muscles (as glycogen, for energy by those muscles), in the liver, and in our fat cells.
If, however, we drink alcohol, then that alcohol, being even more toxic than sugar, takes over as the body’s primary fuel source and relegates carbs to second place. The alcohol is converted to short-chain fatty acids and used either as fuel or, in excessive consumption, stored as fat in the liver. Alcohol contains around 7 calories per gram, and sugar is around 4. So, consuming alcoholic drinks containing 100 grams of alcohol and 100 grams of sugar (a weekend binge, perhaps?) will total 1100 calories. So, whilst the body is busy using the 700 calories from alcohol as energy, the fate of the 400 calories of sugars is likely to be that they are stored as fat. Alcohol cannot be stored as fat, so the sugars will. During this time, fat, as an energy source, will be relegated to the ‘bronze medal position’.
So, we have 3 sources of energy. Sugar, fats, and alcohol. Sugar and alcohol provide no other purpose than to provide energy calories. Fat, however, provides numerous bodily functions, as well as providing energy. We can, therefore, eat more fat calories than sugar or alcohol without eating excess, and the excess gets stored as body fat (in the case of sugar/carbs).
Protein is not a desirable source of energy. It’s an expensive/dirty process creating sugars from protein (gluconeogenesis). If, however, we eat insufficient fat or sugar, the body will reluctantly try to provide our energy needs from protein.
It is estimated that at least 70% of food intake should come from fat (and/or sugar, but being a keto advocate, this is not my recommendation) and less than 30% protein. Obtaining 25% or more of your calories from protein can be dangerous. Fats and carbs contain hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon. Protein also contains nitrogen. Breaking down protein for energy releases nitrogen. The breakdown of amino acids from protein produces ammonia in the bloodstream and can lead to a life-threatening condition called hyperammonianism, causing diarrhea, intense fatigue, and eventual death in a few weeks (Rabbit Starvation).
In a recent observational study I read, the optimal nutrient ratios in type 2 diabetics who succeeded in reversing T2D was 14% carbs, 20% protein, and 66% fat. A good starting point. Fewer carbs require more fat, not protein. So, fat, in my view, should be 75 to 80% of total calorie intake.

The names of certain doctors have been changed because I don’t want to be sued for proven the lack in their field.

There is a war raging against humanity and our earth. We have been passively indoctrinated and so utterly pre-programmed that we do not ask the questions we need to ask. We have laid our trust entirely in those in power or someone with a title behind their name. People conditioned blindly believing in things simply because enough people assured us it was true. Infectious diseases have been irradiated, but chronic diseases are the new black plague of our modern time. This book is profoundly personal as it represents a mission brimming with meaning. As I reflect on extraordinary truths about our nation’s health history, current, and future, I also offer you wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. We must stop the atrocities if we want to become a healthier nation. We must stop the atrocities if we wish the human race to survive. I hope my voice and advocacy will continue to help lead the way and that this book will make changes for current and future generations. No, I simply do not have all the answers, but I have written plenty in this book to make you start questioning EVERYTHING.
What you are about to discover is terrifying.
A readers review:
As I read this book, I can feel the urgency and passion behind the words. It’s true that, as a society, we often trust those in power without questioning their motives or decisions. This blind trust has led to the current state of our health and our planet. While we have made progress in eradicating infectious diseases, chronic illnesses are still rampant and pose a significant threat. The author’s mission is admirable, and their reflections and insights offer valuable wisdom and knowledge. We need to take action and stop the atrocities if we want to create a healthier nation and ensure the survival of humanity. This book has certainly made me question everything as the author intended. While there may not be easy answers or solutions, we must start asking the right questions and challenging the status quo. I hope this book inspires others to do the same and leads to positive changes for current and future generations.
