Children’s laughter fills the air as they gleefully sing and play, imagining the grand old bridge in a gentle state of disrepair. It’s all fun and games, right? But what if I told you that the seemingly innocent nursery rhyme “London Bridge is Falling Down” holds a dark truth that resonates deeply with the history and current experiences of the American people?
The Dark Truth Behind the Rhyme
Hold on to your hats, because the real story behind “London Bridge is Falling Down” plunges us into the murky waters of history. This rhyme, while seemingly innocent, is believed to reference numerous disasters and reconstructions of the actual London Bridge, including chilling methods reportedly used to ensure its stability.
The earliest versions of the bridge date back to Roman times, but the most infamous stories arise from the medieval era. One particularly dark theory suggests that children were buried alive in the foundations of the bridge as a form of human sacrifice. This gruesome practice was believed to ensure that the bridge would remain standing, as the spirits of the sacrificed children would protect it from collapse. Imagine the fear and horror of medieval Londoners, who lived in a world where human sacrifices were a desperate attempt to appease the gods or secure a stable structure. The idea of innocent lives being entombed within the stone and mortar of the bridge casts a dark shadow over the playful rhyme.
Another interpretation connects the rhyme to the repeated Viking attacks on London, specifically the destruction caused by Olaf II of Norway in the early 11th century. His forces reportedly pulled down the bridge as part of their invasion, leading to the depiction of the bridge falling down.
So, while children merrily chant about London Bridge, they are unknowingly recounting tales of destruction, death, and historical turmoil. The rhyme becomes a haunting echo of a time when fear and superstition ruled the day, and the foundations of society were as unstable as the bridges they built.
Drawing Parallels: The American Experience
Now, let’s draw a parallel to the American experience. Just as “London Bridge is Falling Down” masks a history of sacrifice and turmoil, the modern American taxpayer faces a reality where the government imposes burdens that can feel just as oppressive.
In America, the common person is taxed on nearly everything – income, property, sales, and even inheritance. These taxes, like the wool tax in medieval England, often seem to benefit the wealthy and powerful while placing a heavy burden on the working class. The constant demand for revenue to support various governmental expenditures leaves many Americans struggling to afford basic necessities.
Historical Echoes: Human Sacrifice and Economic Burden
Just as medieval Londoners faced the fear of human sacrifices to maintain their bridge, modern Americans confront the economic sacrifices demanded by an ever-expanding government. The open borders and allocation of resources to immigrants, while noble in intent, add to the financial strain on taxpayers. The government’s continued financial aid to foreign nations, such as the billions sent to Ukraine, further amplifies this frustration, especially when many Americans are homeless and hungry.
The common American, much like the “little boy who lives down the lane” in “Baa Baa Black Sheep,” works tirelessly, only to see their hard-earned money lining the pockets of the rich and powerful. The nursery rhyme serves as a subtle protest against unfair taxation, a whisper of dissent cleverly masked as a children’s song. This reflects the broader economic oppression and exploitation that many feel today.
History and Authors
The first recorded version of “London Bridge is Falling Down” dates back to the 17th century, but references to the bridge and its troubles are much older. The rhyme was first published in the form we recognize today in the 1850s, but it likely existed in oral tradition long before then. The authorship of the rhyme is anonymous, as with many nursery rhymes that have been passed down through generations. Its endurance is a testament to its catchy melody and the universal fascination with tales of construction and collapse.
London Bridge itself has undergone numerous reconstructions over the centuries, each iteration facing its own set of challenges. From the Roman bridge to the medieval stone structure, and the more modern versions, London Bridge has been a central part of the city’s history. The current bridge, completed in 1973, stands as a symbol of resilience and renewal.
A Reflection for Modern Americans
The next time you hear children singing “London Bridge is Falling Down,” remember the layers of history embedded in those simple words. The rhyme is not just a game but a narrative of human sacrifice, invasion, and the relentless march of time. Similarly, the modern American taxpayer’s struggle is a reflection of economic burdens and systemic challenges.
Both the rhyme and the American experience remind us that history has a way of repeating itself, often in surprising and sobering ways. As we navigate our own economic and social landscapes, let’s remain vigilant and aware of the forces shaping our lives, much like the medieval Londoners who faced their own daunting challenges.
A Nation on the Brink: Reflections on the Biden-Trump Debate
The recent debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump should be a wake-up call to America’s global victims who might have feared that a new administration could reverse the country’s decline on the world stage. One thing became abundantly clear: the American empire will not recover from the turmoil of recent years, regardless of who steps into office next. America is on a downward spiral, and so are its citizens.
Economic Collapse and Social Decay
Consider the skyrocketing inflation: groceries are now ten times more expensive than they were a few years ago, and housing costs have become unaffordable for many. Lives have been shattered, small businesses shut down, and homelessness is rising at an alarming rate. The debate highlighted the rot within the American government, a spectacle that laid bare the grim reality.
War Crimes and International Law
This administration, along with many before it, could be held accountable for war crimes. The U.S. treats international law as an afterthought. Biden admitted during the debate that funding for the Ukraine war is essentially a money-laundering operation benefiting arms manufacturers. Americans are aware of this, but their voices are silenced. The January 6th incident is a prime example: it has been revealed that the FBI orchestrated the event to make it appear as an attack, leading to the imprisonment of many innocent people.
Government Corruption and Corporate Greed
Why do U.S. tax dollars funnel into the private sector? If America truly upheld ethics and morals, this would be scandalous. Most Americans possess strong ethical and moral values, but the government and its agencies commit atrocities both domestically and globally. The debate was a nauseating display of contempt for the American people, a clear demonstration of the power structures’ disdain.
The Power Structures’ Mascots
Biden and Trump are mere mascots for different power structures. Biden’s cognitive decline has been painfully evident, and the way his wife speaks to him post-debate, as if he were a child, is telling. Meanwhile, Trump’s rhetoric and policies serve another set of powerful interests. Both candidates embody the decay of American politics.
A System Beyond Repair
The tragic reality is that America’s decline is inevitable. The country’s behavior, rooted in decades of corruption and manipulation, spells doom for its future. The rest of the world watched the debate with a mix of amusement and pity, knowing the difference between American citizens and those in power. The debate mocked the American people, making it clear that neither candidate will bring about meaningful change.
Delusional Confidence and Corporate Profit
The Democrats’ waning confidence in Biden is ironic. What initially inspired confidence in his leadership? It’s all a money racket, a cycle of laundering funds through foreign operations to benefit lobbyists and big corporations. Look at the American food market: it’s legal to poison citizens with unhealthy, fake food, contributing to chronic diseases and obesity. The sicker Americans become, the more profit the government and its agencies make.
A Silenced Nation
The recent Supreme Court ruling on social media has given the government even more power to silence dissent. They have successfully neutralized the American citizenry, blurring cognition, distracting, and demoralizing the populace to a critical coma.
Conclusion
The debate on June 27, 2024, was more than just a political event; it was a stark reminder of the systemic corruption and decline of the American empire. It’s a call to awareness, urging citizens to recognize the deep-seated issues plaguing their nation. While the future seems bleak, acknowledging these truths is the first step towards reclaiming power and demanding change.
On the rich dad radio program Robert Kiyosaki and Tom Wheelright explain why who pays the most taxes and why.
Here are some of the highlights of the talk between Robert and Tom. Not everything written in this article is from the podcast. I too am a independent thinker, therefore, I added a few things. I do hope you begin to see the bigger picture.
Biden introduced Janet Louise Yellen is an American economist who was the 15th chair of the Federal Reserve from 2014 to 2018, the first woman to hold the role. She was vice-chair from 2010 to 2014. President-elect Joe Biden has announced that he will nominate Yellen to serve in his Cabinet as United States secretary of the treasury.
Most people don’t understand what this means. She was the head of the Federal Reserve bank and now Biden has appointed her as head of the United States secretary of the treasury. These two entities should always be separated. This is a major conflict of interest.
The government is after you to pay taxes plain and simple.
Somebody has to pay the tax.
If you follow what the Government wants you to do you will never have to pay taxes. The game may change but the rules always remain the same.
The democrats have this magic money theory or modern monetary theory where they think if you print the money – everything will be fine but that is far from the truth.
In 1971, President Elect Nixon took the dollar off the gold standard. This is when the U.S. dollar became a function of debt and taxes. This is also means that our printed paper money is not worth the paper its printed on. Before we use to have enough gold to back up the value of the dollar bill but when other countries who we owed money too started demanding the gold that was used as collateral from the Federal Reserve building vault- Nixon decided to take the dollar the gold standard. Why you may ask because it is all one big Ponzi scheme. The U.S. Government didn’t have the gold to repay these countries.
If you are paying taxes it simply means you went to the wrong school.
How much you pay in taxes depends mainly on your social status.
Tax laws are built on government sharing on the investments that people make.
Biden states he will tax the rich but what he really means is he is going to tax the higher end earners not the rich elite. Not the ones who are making millions and billions because they know how to play the game with the U.S. government and they completely understand the tax laws, what is needed to avoid paying taxes.
Biden was a senator for over 40 years and he was apart of all these taxes changes.
There is three types of income-ordinary income, portfolio income and passive income.
What is the differece?
Ordinary income is income that your earn.
Portfolio income is income from stocks, bonds and mutual funds.
Passive income is income from investments like real estate, oil and gas and other types of productive type activity.
Passive always pays the least in taxes because you are following the governments rules in the tax game.
It’s been instilled in us that if you go to school, work hard, save your money and invest in a 401k – you are a hard working true blooded American but this is considered ordinary income and this is taxed the highest.
No, if you go to school, work hard, save your money and invest in a 401k it simply means that you are paying the most in taxes.
On the Tucker Carson Show December 7th-2020.
China realized in 2008 that wall street was in trouble then in 2016 President Trump won the election. He wasn’t suppose to win the election you see there were all these people making money and getting very wealthy off of China. They have people in high places in Washington who will stop at nothing to rid America of Trump where they can continue to make money.
Financial education should be a subject taught in every school across America but not everyone can be in their club because if everyone is doing the same thing?
Who will pay the taxes? Someone has to pay the taxes.
People in power are pushing for the minimum wage to be $15.00 but what you must understand is if the wage goes up so does the price of everything else goes up along with it and you are still paying taxes but more taxes. Theoretically sure you are making more money on paper but you are still being screwed with paying more on everything else along with being placed in a higher tax bracket. What this means is you will have LESS money than before.
BUT someone has to pay the taxes.
We have a centralized government, a centralized bank ( The federal reserve) and a treasury but under Biden all these three are one unit!
American is now a centralized government!
This green new deal is after the coal and oil. Stop bitching at the capitalist for not paying taxes. You see, they just learned how to play the governments game.
The reality is employees have little control over their money when it comes to taxes. They are at the full discretion of the law, which gives them very little wiggle room. On the other hand, the rich are excited about the tax cuts. Not because they might make more or less in after-tax income (though the smart ones always will make more), but because they have new incentives built into the law to discover and take advantage of.
The average person need to really learn our history. We fought in wars because of our money and our taxes.
Understanding the tax laws and financial education you would make higher returns and lower risk along with paying no taxes.
Passing down a legacy of understanding the tax laws and financial education should be essential.
Trump has been attacked for upsetting the establishment and Biden is bringing in the establishment to run the country. This is why Hillary Clinton was suppose to win the last election and why people in high places made sure BIDEN was to win this election. They had to put a stop of TRUMP messing with their money.
This should be on the front page of every newspaper.
A very interesting column written by Charley Reese.
Charley Reese’s final column for the Orlando Sentinel. He has been a journalist for 49 years. He is retiring and this is HIS LAST COLUMN. Be sure to read the Tax List at the end. This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be. The article below is completely neutral, neither anti-republican or democrat. Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day. It’s a short but good read. Worth the time. Worth remembering!
545 vs. 300,000,000 People-By Charlie Reese
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The President does. You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does. You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does. You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does. One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes. Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits..
( The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.)
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House?( John Boehner. He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. ) If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to. [The House has passed a budget but the Senate has not approved a budget in over three years. The President’s proposed budgets have gotten almost unanimous rejections in the Senate in that time. ]It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist. If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red.If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it’s because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ..If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way. There are no insoluble government problems.Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power. They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees… We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper. What you do with this article now that you have read it… is up to you. This might be funny if it weren’t so true.Be sure to read all the way to the end:Tax his land,Tax his bed,Tax the table,At which he’s fed.Tax his tractor,Tax his mule,Teach him taxesAre the rule.Tax his work,Tax his pay,He works forpeanuts anyway!Tax his cow,Tax his goat,Tax his pants,Tax his coat.Tax his ties,Tax his shirt,Tax his work,Tax his dirt.Tax his tobacco,Tax his drink,Tax him if heTries to think.Tax his cigars,Tax his beers,If he criesTax his tears.Tax his car,Tax his gas,Find other waysTo tax his ass.Tax all he hasThen let him knowThat you won’t be doneTill he has no dough. When he screams and hollers; Then tax him some more,Tax him tillHe’s good and sore. Then tax his coffin,Tax his grave,Tax the sod inWhich he’s laid…Put these wordsUpon his tomb,’Taxes drove meto my doom…’When he’s gone,Do not relax,Its time to applyThe inheritance tax.Accounts Receivable TaxBuilding Permit TaxCDL license TaxCigarette TaxCorporate Income TaxDog License TaxExcise TaxesFederal Income TaxFederal Unemployment Tax (FUTA)Fishing License TaxFood License TaxFuel Permit TaxGasoline Tax (currently 44.75 cents per gallon)Gross Receipts TaxHunting License TaxInheritance TaxInventory TaxIRS Interest Charges IRS Penalties (tax on top of tax)Liquor TaxLuxury TaxesMarriage License TaxMedicare TaxPersonal Property TaxProperty TaxReal Estate TaxService Charge TaxSocial Security TaxRoad Usage TaxRecreational Vehicle TaxSales TaxSchool TaxState Income TaxState Unemployment Tax (SUTA)Telephone Federal Excise TaxTelephone Federal Universal Service Fee TaxTelephone Federal, State and Local Surcharge TaxesTelephone Minimum Usage Surcharge TaxTelephone Recurring and Nonrecurring Charges TaxTelephone State and Local TaxTelephone Usage Charge TaxUtility TaxesVehicle License Registration TaxVehicle Sales TaxWatercraft Registration TaxWell Permit TaxWorkers Compensation TaxSTILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world. Can you spell ‘politicians?
People are happy being asleep. Being “woke” is not enjoyable because you see what is really going on. I don’t blame people for staying ignorant. It’s just that eventually it will kill us.
